I've been busy making ottomans! Our living area lacks seating, so I made a few of these giant pillows. I've had the tomato idea for a while, and I
finally got around to making it. My roommate loves persimmons, so I decided to make a persimmon, too. We love them so much, I keep making more and more!

I used red bed sheets from goodwill for the tomatoes. The leaves were cut from old medical scrubs. I couldn't find orange bed linens (quite understandably), so I had to buy fabric for that.

I have a thing for fruits and vegetables. It's become my theme. This was my first giant piece of fruit. I made this almost ten years ago. I had seen a pear bean bag that I loved in a magazine, but it was $200! So, even though I couldn't sew, I decided to make one. I stole my dad's favorite beanbag, made a fleece cover for it and added a felt stem and leaf. I haven't been sewing much since then, but now I'm back at it and having fun with it!
