1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / tribal necklaces on: May 24, 2010 07:31:01 PM

I've just got back into jewelry making. I'm drawn to stone, glass & wood beads. these are braided cotton thread and long enough to just throw on over your head. I like the simplicity, abstract, folk, tribal feel of them. Also very light which is nice because I've made stuff in the past that I had to take off mid day from digging into my neck.  what do you think? Any suggestions?

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Lola Puppy Sweater on: December 24, 2009 09:33:49 AM

I recently adopted a girl hound mix puppy and when it was chilly outside. no where near snow but still cold outside. she would be shivering a little. So i took her body measurements made everything an inch larger for room and winged it, writing down as i went along. It has vertical knit purl stripes that come to a small point on her lower back and make it look like a shawl. I could have decreased more around the collar. It sort of came out like a cowl neck. But she doesn't mind it when she is outside. What do you think?
