I've just got back into jewelry making. I'm drawn to stone, glass & wood beads. these are braided cotton thread and long enough to just throw on over your head. I like the simplicity, abstract, folk, tribal feel of them. Also very light which is nice because I've made stuff in the past that I had to take off mid day from digging into my neck. what do you think? Any suggestions?
wow, i haven't had this kind of response to my work before online. Thanks everyone. I've been wanting to learn to make prints but don't know how to take the picture for a printed print (like if it is a picture with a nice camera or scanned). I've never heard of spoon flower, sounds awesome. I'll have to try that out. as far as selling, i know we aren't supposed to talk about that here. let me just say i do, but haven't lately, and this has encouraged me to start up again.
tired butterfly superhero mask guy to the rescue, dun dun da dun... 9 x 12 cold press watercolor paper with face drawn in pencil from photo then colored with colored pencil, watercolor, ink mixed with white acrylic paint and traced in black sharpie.
my first free hand embroidery project and my first embroidery project since i can remember. I've been drawing abstract so i felt like embroidering like i draw. it's the small size hoop with all the different colors the same size of string. enjoy.
