11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Yarnholic Seeking to Start a Support Group on: July 04, 2005 09:42:10 AM
I'm not sure if this counts but I had a tiny amount of oddly colored roving hanging around so last night I spun it up and knit it into a (tiny) swatch.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do w/ a little swatch but at least that's one less thing hanging out in the closet w/ the other roving.

And we had a little disaster w/ my ball of fun fur and my dog.  I can't seem to justify throwing it away though, even though I hate the yarn and hate the color, and now it's a mass of tangles.

Still haven't bought any more yarn though! (though I have been very guilty of the yarn porn lately)

I finally separated my knitting (such as it is) content from my regular boring blogging:

Here's my finished scarf. 36 repeats in Rowan 4-ply cotton (in marine) on size 6 needles

So glad to be done but I'm itching to make another lace project

It didn't happen.   There weren't enough wombs or people showing up to justify it at this time.

I haven't seen any other dates discussed

Welcome Horse Power! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who buys more to justify shipping.

How did you make the tubes curve?  I know there was some talk on the lj about not using anything w/ wire (because of problems w/ mailing and xraying I think) so I just left mine floppy.  It does not look good at all really

I've got to make another and get them in the mail soon

If nothing else, this pattern has made me a convert to both lifelines and row counters. I don't think I'd be able to finish without them.

That is hilarious (and not a little bit irritating really).
