Ivycircle was flaked on once, then flaked on by a swap angel. The angel would have to craft 1 large and 2 small items. If you would like to help, please pm me and I'll send her questionarre! Thanks!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Brimmed Slouchy Beret on: July 17, 2007 03:39:14 PM
I've seen tons of crocheted versions of these and thought that it was about time to see a knit one! I love the color of this yarn like you wouldn't believe, it's such a deep shade of blue that it looks black in some light. I used really big needles and finished the whole hat in 2 1/2 hours, and this was doing garter stitch in the round! I made my own pattern. As soon as it was done blocking I wanted to wear it, but sadly I don't think I'll get a chance to until October.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Heart Bomber hat on: July 12, 2007 06:54:46 PM
I've been wanting to do a hat like this for a long while. I finally figured out a perfect way to do it, top down! I worked it completely in one piece without picking up stitches. I really love how it turned out, but had to send it out for a swap. I'll definitely have to make myself another one, probably in black and pink, and I also want a striped one.

We've had 1 person with no communication but they had 2 outstanding packages.

One package was for gavagai for japanese patterns, the other was for Purpleone for Japanese paper. I don't know if anyone would have access to Japanese things, but we can be flexible for these! If 1 person wants to angel for both of these, that would be awesome too. Thanks everyone!

This is being added 7/06:

We need one more angel for chrissiemags for a wist item. Check out her Wists here: http://www.wists.com/chrissiemags
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Tiger on: June 27, 2007 03:30:34 PM
I love felting things! I've been designing a bunch of little animals lately. They're so much fun and they're super quick to knit. This is my latest, a tiger.

I'm going to make a white one also, with blue eyes. He is nameless.

We had 1 person who has been out of contact for several weeks. Ivycircle spun yarn for her and has sent out the package out but we've still heard nothing. We need one angel to make a package with 1 large and 2 small items. PM me and I'll send ivycircle's questionairre!

Thanks everyone!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / "Pink" Elephant Amigurumi on: June 20, 2007 05:06:28 AM
I love this little guy, even if he does hit the bottle a little hard. He took about 3 hours start to finish. It's my own design, and I plan on making a lot more! He doesn't have a name yet.

I've never really felted anything before because I've been too afraid of over felting. I don't have a washing machine, but I figured out that if you use the dough kneading hook in your Kitchen Aid mixer, it works out about the same  Tongue

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rainbow scarf on: May 14, 2007 08:36:39 AM
I'm really excited about this one! It was my first time making a crochet knock-off based on a picture. Here's a picture of the original rainbow scarf:

And here's my version, which got sent out for a swap. I made it longer than the original.

DETAILS OF SWAP
This is the Handspun & Handcrafts Swap!! This swap will pair up spinners and non-spinners (hereafter referred to as crafters, not because spinners are not crafters, but to keep things simple), to swap handspun and other crafts with each other.  Spinners will make beautiful yarn for their partners and Crafters will make beautiful crafts for their partners.    Please discuss with your partner to determine level of effort: as a general guideline, spinners will make a skein of yarn for their partner, and crafters will make one large and 2 small items for their partner (of course, both a "skein" and a "large/small item" are really relative terms, which is why you need to communicate with your partner). You can do more than this of course if you both agree to do so.

You can sign up as a spinner or crafter.

If more crafters than spinners sign up, the swap will be limited to the number of spinners (and vice-versa). Participants will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis (sign up early!).

If there are more crafters than spinners, spinners who have successfully completed one swap my take on 2 partners.

Additional Rules:
1. If this is your first swap please read: (http://www.craftster.org/swapsinfo.html) to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap.

2. Please create a parcel that you would like to receive. Do some research on your partner. Good communication is really important to keep everyone informed and happy.

3.  Please bookmark this thread and/or post here. All updates will be made here and this will help you to keep up with everything.

4. Please put "Handspun & Handcrafts Swap 3" in the title of PM's.
Make sure to PM kyou and superhooker when a package is sent/received.

5. Please post in this thread once a week! This is to insure good communication.
