1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Nutella, anyone? on: April 06, 2008 11:21:24 PM
I am the queen of Nutella. I put it on everything. Pancakes are a favorite! I eat to mix equal parts peanut butter and Nutella and put that on... well... everything as well. If a recipe calls for peanut butter, I usually substitute Nutella. My favorites are Puppy Chow (Sub nutella for peanut butter, and peanut butter chips for chocolate chips! yum!) and Peanut Butter Blossoms, changing the name to "Nutella Blossoms," and using white chocolate for the middle. For lunch today I made panini with Nutella. I cut half inch thick slices of french bread, spread nutella on one half, peanut butter on the other and spread sliced bananas and strawberries in the middle. Brushed butter on the outsides and grilled... epic awesomeness. I also dip anything that can fit through the mouth of the jar into it, including marshmallows, pretzles, graham crackers, saltines, those new half cracker/pretzle things, apple, strawberry, banana slices, toast... the list is endless.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Leafy Lace Scarf on: March 04, 2008 03:36:30 PM
The stitch pile of flesh is from Vogue Stitchionary Volume 1. Can't remember the name of it, but it's in the lace section. I've used it to make a brain protector before.

8  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix-Along on: July 20, 2007 10:24:12 AM
I'm planning on knitting Cho's blue brain protector with the diamonds on it. Simple, but so cute! I have to go see the movie again and pick out more things I want to knit, they were all so great.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Brimmed Slouchy Beret on: July 17, 2007 03:39:14 PM
I've seen tons of crocheted versions of these and thought that it was about time to see a knit one! I eat the color of this yarn like you wouldn't believe, it's such a deep shade of blue that it looks black in some light. I used really big needles and finished the whole brain protector in 2 1/2 hours, and this was doing garter stitch in the round! I made my own pile of flesh. As soon as it was done blocking I wanted to wear it, but sadly I don't think I'll get a chance to until October.
