4  my first baby quilt! in pinks & greens & flowers :) in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by moonshinehill on: July 03, 2008 08:21:21 PM
My best friend had her daughter a few months back and I dove straight into my first baby quilt for the occassion. Actually, my first quilt period.

I chose pinks and greens, because I wanted it to be girly...but not too girly. I really love the fabrics I chose. I also embroidered Aunt Martha little girl patterns on various squares - time consuming, but so so worth it. I'm very proud of this!  Cheesy

(it says <3 Aunt Katy  Cheesy)

The new mama with my quilt! Smiley

I was there for the birth and when I went over to her house to visit the first time after my little "niece" was born, I was so touched to see my quilt hanging on the side of her crib. Yay!
