1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Surprise! I have figs in my yard! Now what? on: July 28, 2008 03:40:30 PM
Hello! I have recently moved into a new rental house in middle Alabama and noticed a SMELL in the yard... investigation led to a very productive fig tree on the back side of the house. I will be climbing up into it tomorrow to get the ripe fruit before it falls and makes an even bigger buggy mess, but I was wondering how to tell 1) if they are edible ( I looked online and nothing really satisfies) Tongue, and 2) what are some tasty things to do with small, peachy colored, organic as far as I know figs? It looks as if I may have hundred on my hands (and in my hair) before the end of the week!

Thanks!
EmG
