1  SB, Sticker, and Stamp ATCS in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by spicyvegetarian on: June 19, 2010 05:27:00 PM
These are for a swap in which I had to use any two of the following: photos, stickers, and stamps. After raiding my stash, these are what I created.

"Cowgirls Don't Worry"

"Treasured Tresses"

"Summer Cool"

"Don't Be Crabby"

2  Flower Fairy ATCs in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by spicyvegetarian on: May 25, 2010 08:56:00 AM
These are the atcs I made for a swap at a local papercraft store. The swap's theme is Fairy day, June 24.

Notice the two boy fairy cards are quite "dirty" and distressed, in homage to my own boy.

I welcome constructive comments and criticism as I am still new at making ATCs. TFL!

3  "Young Lions" tribal bellydance belt in Costumes: Completed Projects by spicyvegetarian on: April 03, 2010 04:13:16 PM

Hi! This is my first post with photos, so I hope it turns out okay. My first solo bellydance was to "Young Lions" by Adrian Belew, so I needed a liony/African-inspired costume. On a budget. In a short amount of time. Sooo...

This was my first attempt at a tribal-style belt. It's simply a long rectangle of brown fake fur leftover from a lion costume. I folded it in half and punched holes along the bottom and two short sides. Into the holes along the bottom I knotted different yarns from my yarn stash. A length of leather cord laced up the belt in front.

I made the harem pants from a pair of clearance plus-size black silk lounging pants. They were missing the drawstring from the waistband. I replaced that with heavy elastic and ran lighter elastic through the leg hems.

I did not make the blouse. The skirt was on loan from my best friend. The copper coin belt is from Cat's Paw. TFL!
