1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Need a critique of your Etsy shop? This is the place! on: May 28, 2007 08:35:11 AM
I just wanted to say that the hat doesn't really seem like anything special because of the picture. Because, with the sock monkey one, the picture has a high contrast and really pops.

Thanks WIPs! Actually, I just went through and changed the hat and 2nd lovey to the black background for a better contrast.  Smiley

The name of my new Etsy store is Enchanted Dandelions. www.enchanteddandelions.etsy.com  I hope to sell items geared towards babies/children such as loveys, hats, blankets, playmats, felt stuffies, etc.  And I definitely want to keep a natural feel to them (using as many natural yarns/fabrics as possible, etc.).

I'd love to hear what you guys think of the name as well as my banner. Also, I'm kinda at a loss what to put on my profile. Do people just want to read the "fine print" of shipping, returns, etc?  Or should I include some personal info as well (about me, my little ones, my hobbies, etc.)?

(Also, I do have one listing up- a lovey. If you get the chance, maybe a critique on the listing itself. How are my photos, description, tags, etc?)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!  Kiss
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Q about Knifty Knitters... why are the pegs removable? on: May 26, 2007 07:02:33 PM
Ooh, okay. Here I thought I had stumbled across something cool, but I guess I just have faulty looms.  Roll Eyes

When I think about it, it's only 1 peg on the blue one that's loose, so I just assumed they were all like that... I've been too busy knitting to try 'em.  Cheesy

I'll put some glue on it later... Thanks!

Just curious as to why the pegs on KK looms are removable? Is it just the way it's made? Or am I missing an awesomely cool knitting techniques that requires them to be removed?

TIA!  Smiley

Aaah, fairies!  Grin

And you're spot on about me being barefooted most of the time!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thank you so much!! I can't wait to try the microbeads. What kind of tape did you use? They are really stuck on there! I wonder if it would work for covering some altoid tins I'm modding. Hmmm...

Anyways, thank you SO much!!  Kiss

Sorry I haven't been around!

So glad everything (or mostly everything) arrived safely, Dianne! I had SOOO much fun working on them! LOL, glad you like the pickle.  I made one for my sister for her bday, and then I discovered the whole Xmas Pickle story, so I've been making them for pressies this year.  And I did shape the spoon. It was pretty easy with some pliers. (I kept trying to think of an ornament to go with "spoon bread" since the hotel where the recipe is from is where DH works... finally, I just said "What the hey, I'll just use a spoon! LOL).

I have your box sitting on the kitchen table, and I'm just about to go dig into it. You have NOOOO idea how hard it's been not to open it, but I wanted to wait to be fair. I'm sure I'll love everything!  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Do you have a picture of the gingerbread man?  (I totally forgot to take pictures... until I had wrapped them all  Embarrassed). That was a last minute thing, and I want to make more!

(BTW, I hope things are going a bit better for you ((HUGS))! )

I have ribbons on all of yours  Smiley

Just popping by to say how much I love everyone's ornaments! They are all so lovely! The beaded ones, wow. After seeing that post, I ran to the craft store and got beads and wires.... yeah, I guess I don't have that knack as they looked horrible. LOL. You are truly talented!

And the measuring tape icicles are too cute!! Dianna- I wish I had more than one, or I'd gladly hack mine up for you (and myself!)  Grin

My crafting is coming along. A couple more things to finish up. (And redo a couple. I wrote on them with a permanant marking pen. When I sprayed the sealer on it, it ran!! Grrr.  Hopefully I can salvage it.)

The bad news is that I bought a really cute gift box to send them in... but I think I have too much stuff to fit in it!  Grin

Count me in, if it's towards the end of Dec/early Jan!!!

I'm so into earthy, hippy stuff...this is right up my ally!  Grin

ETA: Looking at huge pile of unfinished Xmas pressies... I'll probably be crafting up until Xmas eve!  Roll Eyes So, later would be better for me!  Wink
