It all came wrapped in cute blue striped wrapping paper! I got a cute Marvin sleep mask, sweet magnets- dolphins! Marvin! Beeblebrox!, a "hyeper-intelligent, pan dimensional being"  Cheesy and a keychain!

Here's a close-up of the other side of the keychain and the magnets! Love it!

This is what I did when I opened my package:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!
Not because there was a monster inside, but because IT IS SUPER AWESOME!

Here is what I got:

-A TON of cross stitch thread! It makes me want to cross stitch a rainbow! And now I can! Wink
-Stretchy string- always good to have on hand.
-Stamps off of my wist! These are so frickin cute. Now I am thinking: what can I stamp? Calendars! Stationary! Note cards! Yes! Also, a stamp pad for stamping all of those things!
-Tetris magnets! These are awesome because I love Tetris and I need magnets! These are also off of my wist! Each color is a different magnet.

A close up of the sweet stamps- she carved them herself! So totally awesome.

And finally, a close up of the tetris magnets, which I had fun arranging.

Thanks Lo{ve}! You did a super awesome job and I will have such a fun time with everything you sent!
PS- nothing broke! Cheesy

I received from spotnik today, and was delighted to find a toasty (ha!) scarf in my mailbox! I got a professional male model to wear it for the photograph (I am all sweaty and gross from work lol!). Here are some tasteful shots of him wearing the scarf and a fur coat:

The male model almost thought this was the real thing! Thankfully, though, he was distracted by his compensation for the shoot: a Beggin' Strip.

Thanks Spotnik for this super soft awesome scarf! For once, I wish it were winter so I could wear it! Cheesy

6  Designer Vinyl Jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by *Sly*Sev*Steph* on: May 26, 2010 05:11:32 PM
This is my first posted craft!  Cheesy

I love making jewelry, and I have fallen in love with designer vinyl- or art toys, as some call them, and so I thought that jewelry made out of designer vinyl would be awesome! So after collecting zipper pulls from Kidrobot, ebay and the KR forums, I made two necklaces, a charm bracelet and a pair of earrings! Here are some pics:

And a closeup:

Here are my pictures!

Ysmeine posted pics of the great package Alex sent me, but here are some close ups and stuff!

The whole package!

The Bellatrix shirt- I might wear this to the midnight premiere

The Snitch and its box (you can't have it flying away)

An exquisite Slytherin crest that's hanging in my room

The magic ball of yarn- I had no idea what was in it until I saw audio-astrophysics had gotten one! My mom helped me unwrap it, and it was so fun! I'd feel something, and we'd get all excited, and then it would fall out and I'd be like "Theres a Gryffindor charm!" I got similar charms to audio-astrophysics, like Ysmeine described in her post. I made the Snitch into a necklace and the Slytherin charm into a keychain. This was such a cute idea!

The Mauraders Map-

Look! Its Snape in the Potions Classroom! Cheesy

And finally, a closeup of the dark mark bag. Rawr, that snake is coming right for you! Love it!

And here are some photos of what I sent Alex:

I made her Luna's butterbeer necklace and a matching charm bracelet.

It was really hard to part with that bracelet!  Wink

The front of the Quidditch shirt

This was my favorite part of the shirt!

A closeup of the spectrespecs- they aren't 3D, but do make you a bit dizzy, lol

The inside of the chocolate box

I am amazed by the bad@$$ package I received and the items other people have received- what a great swap! I can't wait for the movie!!!!11!1!!!!!

8  Re: The Book-Lovers Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by *Sly*Sev*Steph* on: November 09, 2008 12:02:52 AM
Finally! My camera has been found an utilized! Picture time!

A group shot of all the goodies my partner sent.

Here I am doing my best Snape-like smirk in my Slytherin scarf! (excuse the end-of the day bleeding eyeliner lol) Its so warm and soft and well done! My inner geek is thrilled every time I put it on! This was my favorite thing I received.

Here is the Magic Pensieve my partner made for me. The inscription on the lid reads:

Purpose: To keep thoughts you want to remember later but can't focus on now.
How to use: Write down thoughts you want to remember later but can't afford to think about at the present, put them in this box and come back to them later at a more convenient time.
Important: Once you've put a thought away you can't think about it until the time is right.

This is so cute and creative and I am going to put it to good use!

Shown here is an awesome Slytherin iron-on window decal, six bookmarks, and Pocky! This is my first encounter with Pocky and it is super delicious! Where can you buy it? I am still contemplating what to use the window decal on- window? car?

In this picture is the handmade soap my partner made- they smell great, although I can't quite place the fragrances. Also shown are two Robert Heinlein books- after I finish Eldest, I am diving into these! I've heard this author is great.

I could not have been more pleased with my first swap experience. If I could give one tip to new swappers, it would be to schedule the steps of your swap, from when you craft to when you go to the post office. Also, if you can, have your box from the beginning. Ariannrhod, you did a wonderful job, and were a super swap partner!
