1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Newbie Army Octopus on: August 27, 2008 01:37:52 PM
Okay, so this is my first venture into plush things. My boyfriend and I were talking about different animals and such and he decided that he wanted me to make him an octopus. So, I let him pick out the fabric. He decided on the Army seal and camo fabric...he's in the army if you couldn't guess haha and then I went to town on creating it! This is my first ever plushie, so It's not that great, but all in all, I think it turned out pretty well! I modeled it after one I saw on Etsy and it took me forever, but he was at least happy with it!

Here's the whole thing....

And here's a close up....

And the bottom...camo fabric of course! haha

Thanks for looking!!!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Memory Fold-Out Scrapbook on: July 19, 2008 04:51:07 PM
This is my first actual craft post!! (Go me!)  Grin

Although it's nothing too difficult and crazy, I made this memory book with pictures and things high school after I saw a friend make one for someone else.

All you do is take cardboard squares and cut out posterboard to fit in between in the funky shape, then fold it all together into the compact little square! You can do whatever you want to it basically.

I was using it as an example for a bunch of girls in my sorority since we were going to make them as a project, so this one's not too crazy. I just glued different colored tissue paper to the posterboard and put pictures on it.

Tell me what you think!
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Holy White Tissue Paper, Batman! on: July 17, 2008 10:07:47 PM
So, I work at a clothing store and everything that we get in is wrapped in some sort of tissue paper. It's all white tissue paper with absolutely no color at all. We always just throw it away, and I was thinking that if there was something I could do with it rather than throwing the mass quantities of it away every day while unwrapping shirts and pants, that I should try to reuse it.

So I guess my question is...What can I do with a TON of plain white tissue paper that I can actually use? Any good ideas out there??
