6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Sailor Mars Plushie Hair on: July 04, 2011 03:44:58 PM

I'm currently working on a plushie of Rei Hino (Sailor Mars) for a swap which is ending this week. I'm currently working on the bangs and am looking for advice. Rei's hair is usually very flat and I'm looking for a way to give her hair more texture and dimension without going to far from the original hair. This is what I've created so far but am looking for suggestions/first impressions.

Please let me know what you think ^_^

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Doll Eyes on: May 16, 2011 07:27:18 PM
I've created a new doll and need help deciding which eyes I should use as my "default eyes". The second picture only has one pupil so the photos shows what they would look like with two. Which eyes do you like or not like? Like the dark or light black lining? I want to them to look as professional as possible, so any advice/initial impressions would be very helpful. Thank you ^_^
8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Fun Accessories, Flat Intro. on: May 11, 2011 02:57:46 PM
I've worked hard to create some nice accessories but am having difficulty writing an introduction for my store and policies. Please take a look at my store and tell me what areas you think could be improved on. Any advice/initial impressions would be appreciated.
9  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / The Coon from South Park on: December 07, 2010 04:34:16 PM
A co-worker of mine really enjoyed the first episode of the Coon and Cthulhu, so I decided to make her a figurine of the Coon for Christmas. I choose the scene of him when he's riding Cthulhu (much love for Totoro parodies ^_^).

The Coon is made entirely of polymer clay, with the exception of the black pupils and C on his shirt.

10  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Codex from The Guild/Do You Want To Date My Avatar Music Video on: November 05, 2010 04:36:04 PM

Codex costume from The Guild's Do You Want To Date My Avatar Music Video. Costume was sewn entirely by myself and made for the Halloween season.

Costume includes white skirt, white top with gold trim, red corset with gold trim, red and gold knee pads, wristlets, detachable shoulder pads, gold headband, and gold necklace. In lue of the traditional staff I also made miniaturized gold staff earrings - http://alternativeicandy.deviantart.com/#/d30cou1

The corset was made from a modified overbust corset pattern, sized to create a more flared shape at the bottom, and was reinforced with boning. The skirt is three layers (casa satin, chiffon, and lining fabric) which allowed it to poofy out at bottom. The top was made of spandex/nylon fabric. The corset and knee pads were made of a dark red corduroy.
