12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: An amazingly yellow dahlia for winter use on: July 06, 2010 04:11:36 PM
Don't change it! It looks so good like it is! Yellow is a happy color & if your gonna wear it during the winter it will be such a "pick-me-up"!

Oh wow! I like her even more than the green woman! I agree that a magnet snap closure would probably work best

When I saw the Mr T game in the pic for this challenge, I thought "NOOOOooooooooooo" but then I saw what you wrote, oh thank you for not destroying that! I'd love to know where you found it...I grew up with a mad crush on Mr. T and my little brother (whose name begins w/T) was nicknamed Mr. T, so we all like to gift him with Mr. T stuff.

I like the lampshade idea, I think it would look good if you maybe trimmed them down to fit & then did a blanket stitch with ribbon or yarn to attach the cards to the frame & one another, IMHO. The box top is definitely PRIMO wall art! Oh and I think the shape of the shade is good flared like it is, again, MHO.

18  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Rose Necklace on: May 29, 2010 09:23:19 PM
i have a question, when you are wearing it, does it stay sitting properly on your neck, as in your picture, or does it move so that the roses end up pointing down?
That is something that I am working on. It depends on who is wearing it and at what length (the strands are individually clasped so there is some flexibility in length and how the strands lay)- it does tend to flip for my daughter (who was the model for this picture) when wearing it at that length or longer. It does not flip as much on me unless I bend over to pick something up (because I am larger and have a fuller chest it lays differently on me). I am going to attach the beads a bit higher up on the flowers next time I make this, and probably try weighting the bottom of the pendant a bit more. Any suggestions would be welcome!
I wonder if you were to attach a drop off the bottom of the roses, if that would help keep them from flipping. This necklace is beautiful & the colors are perfect IMHO.

Those are great, you have such a vivid imagination to come up with some of this stuff! BTW I love the look on your dog's face...kinda like he's ready to split as soon as the picture is taken...
