Here's our gallery!!

Sign-up date range: January 31-February 14
Date to send item by: March 1

Limited to a certain number of people? No

Restricted to people who all live in the same country? NO

Additional Age requirement? NONE

Swap Organizer himself/herself meets these conditions:
- Has fully read the Swap Info Guide: YES
- Has successfully completed two swaps as a participant: YES
- Is not organizing more than three swaps right now: YES
- Will recruit a co-organizer or give all details to a Swap Moderator if this swap has more than 25 participants: YES
- Is at least 18 years old: YES

Swap Organizer will check each participant to make sure they meet these conditions:
- Has been a member for at least one month: YES
- Has posted at least 15 times: YES
- Has completed one swap successfully before signing up for multiple swaps at a time: YES
- Is not currently signed up for more than five swaps: YES
- Does not have any negative feedback: YES
- Participant has agreed that he/she is at least 16 years old: YES
- If within the US, understands that Delivery Confirmation number is required for this swap: YES
- If outside the US, understands that a mailing receipt copy is required for this swap: YES

Details of swap:
In this swap, participants will have two options.
#1.To sign up to swap with a single partner.   (Send and receive 1 bookmark.)
#2. To sign up to swap in a group of 5.  (Send and receive 4 bookmarks.)

This swap is open to people in every country, and is a great way to try out swapping internationally, without a lot of cost.  To those of you who automatically say you do not wish to ship to a country outside your own, please consider it on this one!!! You will only be mailing an envelope and the costs would be much less than in a traditional swap.  Think about how much fun it will be to get international mail!  And think about how sad you would be as an international crafter, if no one ever wanted to swap with you!  Also remember that you would NOT receive ALL international swappers, perhaps 1 or 2 in your group.

The average rate for a 1-2 oz. envelope sent internationally is between $.98 and 2.00, so if you had a group with 2 international partners, and 2 domestic ones, your shipping would still be UNDER $5.00

For a wonderful swap experience, communication is always the key.  Please keep in touch with your partners and organizer.  If you are accepted into the swap, I will PM you, and add you to the participant list.  Once partners have been assigned, you may craft your bookmarks and send as early as you wish.  All swaps on Craftster, requires the use of DC#s, but this is not possible when sending letters or sending internationally.  Since you can't get a DC number for these, feedback will be based on if your partner received or not.

For U.S. based swappers: If your bookmark is not received after two weeks, you will need to re-craft and send another one to avoid negative feedback.

For International and US/International swappers: If your bookmark is not received after three weeks, you will need to re-craft and send.

If you don't think you'll be able to make and send more bookmarks if your items are lost in the mail, please think about either doing option #1.  As soon as you ship, YOU MUST PM YOUR organizer and your partner to tell them.  Please label your PM "SENT: Bookmark Swap - Rd 4".  When you receive, you MUST PM your partner and organizer again, please label this one "Received: Bookmark Swap - Rd 4".
If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

14  Captain America Blanket in Crochet: Completed Projects by SaralaAnne on: November 22, 2011 05:17:09 AM
Squee! I am finally able to post something here! Lol. So, I've been crocheting for a couple years now, and I've finally got something Craftster worthy! My cousin is a HUGE fan of Captain America, so for her birthday/Christmas I thought I'd make her a shield blanket. What do you think?

I've had a couple request for instructions, so here's the links I used:

They are two pieces. The circle is found here: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/90097AD.html?r=1

And the star is found here way at the bottom: http://www.craftfreely.com/free-crochet-patterns/preview-pattern.cfm?id=806

And then I just sewed the star onto the circle Smiley

Swap Details
The idea is to make one tiny craft item with a TMNT theme.  It should be physically small and should be something that you can craft with a high level of skill.  Even if it is a fairly simple/easy item for you to make, please embellish so that it best represents your skill.  (For example, if you wish to make a coin purse, you could embroider, add beading, or take other steps to make it a really special piece.)

-You will receive only one partner.
-You may only send that partner ONE tiny TMNT craft - "extras" are not allowed.
-All items must be 4"x4"x4" or smaller.

How do you know if your idea is "tiny?"  Examples:  A coin purse is tiny; a clutch purse is not.  A pair of earrings/pendant is tiny.  A trinket box is tiny; a pencil box is not.  If you're not sure if your idea qualifies as "tiny," ask your organizer!

Lovingly taken from the OTHPT swap description.

16  Re: Back to Hogwarts Gallery in The Swap Gallery by SaralaAnne on: October 19, 2011 02:48:35 PM
I received an awesome package from toribird today!

For the shop item she sent me a copy of Moste Potente Potions that Madame Pince had removed from the Restricted Section and sold to Borgon and Burkes when a student defiled it, turning it into a handy place to begin my secret apothecary Smiley

And she even filched some ingredients from Snape to start me out! I'll be ready to brew my polyjuice potion as soon as I gather the other ingredients and stew the lacewing flies...Now I just have to decide who I want to be for an hour...

She also sent me a pygmy puff! Poor Hagrid said that this sweet little guy wasn't getting any attention in Weasley's Wizard Weezes, but I think he's quite cuddly. Of course it helps that I keep band aids with me everywhere I go...

The last two items were an amazing Slytherin charm bracelet (with a snake like chain, a hallows like charm, a piece of the resurrection stone, a basilisk fang, a small snake charm, a quill, a snitch, and a little rememberall that seems to be...oh my...I'm always forgetting something!) and a Support Cedric Diggory badge!

Thank you so much, toribird! I love it all!

Oh my gosh! I am so late at posting pictures! It's been such a hectic week, but here's Quincy and all the loot he came back with. I love it all!

There's a trunk, his scrapbook, a jar full of oragami stars (that will be awesome in our living room!) some lolly pops, a bracelet, a candy bar, and Quincy's new hat.

Inside the box there is some more dice beads, and a key chain.

And a few of the pages from the scrapbook Smiley

Thank you so much Sweetey28303! Quincy had a blast with you this summer!

18  New Old Desk in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by SaralaAnne on: August 07, 2011 08:04:05 AM
I think this is where it should go  Huh

Anyways, I found this old desk on the side of the road (annoying trick I learned from my father) and thought I could fix it up nice for my niece. Here's a couple shots of when I found it (I started sanding the top before I thought to take pictures)

And in the painting process:

And finished Cheesy

The top is done in chalkboard paint.

Pay no attention to the dog Wink

I've seen a lot cooler ones posted online before, but sadly I went with what my sister in law would like vs colors I would do for a kid (Bright bight bright!)

What do you think?

20  Re: I need new earrings! Swap -Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by SaralaAnne on: July 28, 2011 01:31:26 PM
I received from feelingabitstitchy today.

All the earrings came in a lovely Slytherin box!

Here's 3 of the pairs and a cute shrinky dink hippo.

And last but not least is the last pair. This one gets an action shot because I think it was a weird request. I had wanted a pair that would hook from one of my piercings to another, and she came through for me wonderfully Smiley

Thank you so much! I love them all!
