1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Ongoing Book Swap on: July 06, 2007 06:06:04 PM
Anyone interested in doing an ongoing book swap?  I saw one that was done last summer & it sounds like a great idea.  Unfortunately, I'm not very organized or I would start it myself.Undecided  So maybe one of you more responsible craftsters would be willing to organize this?  *crossing fingers* Here's the link for the other one (though it doesn't necessarily have to be the same): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=93116.0
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sister Photo on: June 26, 2007 11:14:18 AM
My sister recenlty moved into a new apartment, & I wanted to give her something special as a housewarming gift, so I took an old photo of us, changed it to sepia, enlarged it & covered our shoes with red glitter to look like Dorothy's ruby red slippers.  Below it I worte "There's no place like home."  Here it is:

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Graduation / Memory Quilt on: June 26, 2007 10:42:04 AM
I just finished a memory quiltfor my little sister's graduation gift.  Being the procrastinator that I am, I only had 2 days to make it so it's a little sloppy, as I didn't measure or trace anything.  Anyway, it was fun & easy to make, plus it used up a ton of my scrap fabric that's been laying around forever.  Here it is:

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Cold Heat Soldering Iron? on: March 28, 2007 08:50:50 PM
Has anyone tried using a cold heat soldering iron?  It runs off batteries & supposedly only gets hot when it comes in contact with the solder.  I'm curious because I found a local person selling one for really cheap, but I don't know if they work well (for doing pendants, etc.).
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Tips on Soldering? on: March 07, 2007 08:34:33 PM
Hello my fellow Craftster addicts!
I'm really interested in learning to solder.  Does anyone have any tips/tutes/suggestions for books or websites that would be of help?  Thanks!

P.S. I know there are a few semi-related posts here, but I'm really looking for people's personal experience of what helped them the most!
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Secrets Round 3? on: September 05, 2005 12:29:21 PM
I missed the first two rounds, but REALLY want to be involved in this. Would anyone be interested in starting up a round 3? I would do it myself, but I'm not an organized person AT ALL! Do we have any volunteers? Come on, you know you wanna!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Patterns For Pear-Shaped on: August 29, 2005 12:08:25 PM
Ok, I'm new to pattern sewing & was wondering the best way to choose a pattern since i'm kinda pear-shaped. My measurements are very odd (36-33-43) & I was wondering if anybody can tell me which of these measurements I should use to select the best fit for me. I wear a street size 12, but looking at some of the patterns, I could range anywhere from a 10 (going by bust) up to 14 or 16 (going by hips).  I'm so confused!! I really want to start making some clothes since I can't ever seem to find many RTW clothes that fit me correctly. Any suggestions would be SO appreciated! Thanks!
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Holiday P.J.'s on: October 10, 2004 02:22:53 PM
Hi,
I want to make some Christmas themed pajama pants for my family, but I can't seem to find any Christmas themed flannel ANYWHERE! I've been to all the fabric stores in my area & looked online & on ebay, but no luck. I've only found regular cotton. Can anyone help? If not, do you know what other fabric might be good for some soft, warm P.J. pants? Thanks!
