2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Alice (American McGee's) Outfit on: March 09, 2010 10:11:39 PM
Yikes! I totally dressed up as American McGee's Alice when I was about.. thirteen or fourteen I think! Long ago.. It's an excellent video game. Your costume looked a lot better than mine did. Prop to you!

Hey all. I haven't posted in FOREVER. I'm sorry. I fixed my room mate's sewing machine and we are working on collectively making an Etsy business that is not yet up and running. I'm just making stuff right now, and here is my first piece of clothing since leaving my sewing machine 3,000 miles away two years ago.

The front and back panel are non stretchy leopard print, while the side panels and waist band are stretchy teal fabric. The zipper is functional, though I didn't cut under neath it. It's up to the future owner to decide if that's what they want.

Sorry for the poor quality pictures.

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Vintage Kenmore E-6354 (supposed to be from 1946) on: June 28, 2009 10:06:21 PM
We found a working kenmore e-6356, without a bobbin.

It looks like this:

I can't seem to find a manual for it anywhere online, either. It's not surprising due to it's age I guess! Do you guys know anything about this machine?

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Two Steampunk watch part necklaces by Zombie Teeth, *image well fed.* on: December 21, 2008 07:07:22 PM
These are made from watch parts  that I got from a local watch mechanic. He gave me all the parts for free. I'm surprised, he looked at me quite funny when I asked. There are also found objects like keys and teeth.

These are "holiday" gifts. I don't celebrate any of that mass consumerism BS so I made these for my boss and best friend.

and modeling them:

So I haven't posted in AGES. AGES! Well, this morning I woke up at 8:30 am and had a plan of action before work at noon. I got these goggles for free from my work since they were damaged. They were plastic, silver, and kind of weird.

A lot of gold paint and watch parts later:
