Thanks so much for this. My dog also has grain allergies. I'll surely give this a try.

I buy chickpea (garbanzo beans) meal at the health food store and have found that my girl can eat treats using this instead of other grains. No scratching at all.

Also, I take chicken weiners and slice them lengthwise into quarters. Then slice the quarters into 3/8" slices. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. Onto paper towels to drain. They will crisp up for a nice treat. I keep them in a jar in the freezer and just feed them to her without thawing. She gets 4 small pieces as a treat after a walk, etc.
