1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Lavi womens Vans Re-Vamped. on: June 27, 2008 06:47:24 PM
The other day I was at the mall looking for some new shoes, saw these on sale, thought of the white canvas and on the way home I made myself pretty pink shoes.

Oh how I love my two pink sharpies!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Prom dresses x3 IMG heavy on: June 27, 2008 06:26:52 PM
In my last three years of high school I went to the prom. For each year I made a dress, granted they got better as they went along but I wanted to share other peoples opinions. This is my first post ever on craftster.

This is the first year. Ok, so the glitter on the flowers was a little much, actually the flowers might have been a little much but it was my dates advice. This was my first ever dress sewing experience, and it was a horrible one.

The second year was made after a shoulder surgery so it was made in a little bit of a rush, I had big plans for this one and I had to cut a lot of corners. You can't really tell but on the stomach area there are vertical zigzags with gold beading. That took a while, but my boyfriend actually did that part for me, but the rest was done in as a one armed wonder.

The third year I actually made in about two hours, I forgot that the week before prom I had a wedding I had to dress up for so the night before the wedding I whipped this one out and I like this one the most. The polka dots are buttons, I had originally planned for them to go throughout the whole dress and slowly fade to pink on the way up but the car ride wasn't long enough. You can't really tell in the pictures but the dress went slightly below my knees.
