1  Illinois / Illinois: North / Chicago - Creative Reuse Warehouse on: June 27, 2008 06:08:40 PM
While it's not free, it's pretty close. It's located in the far southeast suburb of Riverdale, roughly 135th and Indiana. They have a huge warehouse with tons of paper items, industrial extras, glass, clothes, posters, knick knacks, well, just about anything. 5 bucks and you fill a bag with whatever you want....and it benefits local community programs. Worth the drive.

2  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / 50 2 1/4 inch nuts on: June 26, 2008 06:30:05 PM
I found a box of 50 large six sided industrial nuts that measure about 2 1/4 inches across. I have no welding skills to speak of, otherwise I think I would have a plan for them. Any ideas?
