11  Please be kind, my1st project w/o a pattern..My 2nd project ever!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by cocorific on: October 28, 2008 09:26:44 AM
Once upon a time I knitted a pair of slippers...the only knitting project of my life!  10 years later they are sorely lacking in warmth as there are holes in the bottom of both!

So, not remembering how I made them, I opened up one and proceeded to count.  I am so thoroughly proud of my second pair, since I had no pattern and no recollection of one, and the new pair turned out pretty darn good.  Maybe I can do this knitting thing after all and might try my needles at something else...

Comments, suggestions of other projects to try, and constructive criticism all welcome and appreciated!!

These are the old ones. If you look close you can see the holes!

These fit real nice!

12  My Package arrived!! Pic Heavy!!! in The Swap Gallery by cocorific on: August 28, 2008 05:36:18 PM
Hello fellow movie fans!  This is my very first swap and I have to say I have been blessed with the very best partner!  Grin

Fluffypants' package arrived this afternoon and I was so blown away!   Shocked  I took lots of pictures but have managed to trim it down to 16!  Sounds like a lot but you have to see this to believe it!

I just have to add that my partner is AWESOME!  She is helping me to upload the pics!!  Having major blonde moments here but she's patiently explaining how to get the pics from photobucket to here!  She definitely deserves to be swap partner of the year!

She is so witty and creative, I was just tickled to open this package.

When I pulled this box out of the wrapper my son commented that I already have a hairdryer!  He is only 5...

The next pics are of the box she decoupaged, it has some great classics on it!!

Fred Astaire!!

Now we get into that fabulous box!  The candies are dark chocolate (my fave) and graham crackers! (another fave!)  Don't you just love Doris Day and Rock Hudson on the lid?!!

What a cool storage book!

Isn't she talented?!

I have wanted to see this movie for simply years, I am thrilled that I actually own it now!

Now how bout this!  These are just awesome earrings, I call them my Fiddler on the ears....

Talk about super comfortable! I have been wearing these all day now and they don't weigh a thing!  I keep forgetting I have them on till I move my head!  So lightweight and what a job painting! Wow, such patience...

Well there you have it folks!!  The best swap package of the year and it's all mine!!

Thank you again NerdyCrochetGal for hooking me up with such an awesome partner!!

Flufflypants....I love ya gal!!  You are the best and thank you so much for being so good to me.  I only hope you like your package half as much as I love mine!  I will be sending out your package this weekend!!

This experience definitely makes me want to swap again.  Grin

13  My Dream Garden-Cross stitch-How to display? in Needlework: Completed Projects by cocorific on: July 11, 2008 02:25:35 PM
If I could have my dream garden, this is what it would look like!  I spent about a year, on and off, working on this.  It is a counted cross stitch and the finished size is 11" X 17".
I would love any suggestions on the best way to display it!  I can sit and stitch but then I don't know what to do with the results!  How many can I hang on the wall!  I thought of a pillow, but I would hate for it to get stained or "loved" by my cat!
Any ideas?  Thanks!

14  Cross-stitch to honor my son in Needlework: Completed Projects by cocorific on: July 07, 2008 09:37:57 AM
This is a cross-stitch I did after I first found out I was pregnant with my son.  After 2 miscarriages and being over 35 he was a true miracle.  Hope you like it!

Hope I did this right...my first time!
