Got three goodies in the mail today...
From Oath Keeper, Nautical, called "Traditional Tides".

Anchors are my alltime favorite nautical image!  The rope above it is gorgeous. Makes me wanna grap it and haul away me maties!
Thanks so much, OK. I love it!

On my sunflower theme, from Homerof2 -

Once upon a time I had curtains made of this very material!!  How I miss 'em. She stitched around the petals and the edges. It is stunning. Thanks so much, Homer!!

From Whysteria on my Nature theme...

Called "Tulip Sunshine". Soooo cool!  I have never seen a pressed tulip before. It is so unusual. I LOVE it when crafters go off the edges of the card and this one does in a big way. Too bad it had a rough trip in the mail, but it is still beautiful.
Thanks very much, Whysteria.

42  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Kitten Card for Mom on: April 26, 2013 09:54:34 AM

My mom is quite depressed living in a nursing home. I have decided to send her one homemade card every day. Here is my first one...

Here are the goodies I made for LadybugsandBumblebe es' co-worker. She likes butterflies, animals, and black, blue, and purple and buttons. She collects brooches.
A box I recrafted from one I got at an antique place -

the card I wrote on...

she likes painted pots to put cacti in. It would have been too heavy to mail, so I did mini ones with crafted cacti out of wire and fabric. The spines are cut bits of cat whisker, of which I have 1000 now, due to the fact that I have found them on the floor for the past 20 years of cat rescue in my home -

A game I made up for her classroom - she is a teacher.

Inchies and an ATC, a butterly stone, a 4 leaf clover I found behind the supermarket.

Fridge magnets

stickers to hand out to her students

a box...

full of brooches for her collection.

the wooden bird belonged to my mom.

bag full of buttons

Bits, including an apple for the teacher pin.

This was such an awesome swap. I hope that round 2 comes up soon...

Doing a bunch of innocent ones, as I need to focus on such things in troubled times.

So, who does Averia think she is, claiming to be a newbie at Inchies??!!
Check out what she made for me. My jaw dropped. My husband's eyes bugged out. Needless to say, I am very pleased with what she made me!!

Themes are kitties - my alltime love in life, meditation, embroidery, and Scottish.
Holy mackerell, do you see these embroidered ones?! The lotus and the lion? Both my faves, which is saying ALOT since I usually choose the kitty ones.
I love the Scottish clan crest (made me wistful) and the geer/cog one. The meditation one is so serene. It was my H who pointed out that the title was silence, and the person had something superimposed over the mouth.
The stencil style tiger and bamboo is very very impressive.
Averia, I hope this is only the beginning of your Inchie participation and I hope to be the lucky recipient of more in future!

I got an awesumsauce card from KittyHerman while I was away for the weekend... nice treasure to find in my box upon returning home!!
It was to be a surprise, and she chose my kitty theme. I luv it when folks do that. If I had my way, I may have kitty theme for my only one!
First check out the stunning homemade envie -

And the card, called "Colonel FancyPants"

The background is very carefully (I am sooo impressed) interwoven paper strips.
The watercolor Colonel himself is cut out and glued on top.
Wow, everything about this card is superb. His position, the expression, his bow, the incredible skill of watercolor accents, and the background.
Kitty, ya really outdid yerself on this and I thank you profusely!!
