Woo Hoo!!!  I just now finally found my misplaced Calvin and Hobbes card from Patraw. I KNEW I wore my brown jacket that day at the P.O. and had looked in the lower pockets where I was soooo sure I had put the card. I just looked in the UPPER pocket, and there it was!  thank goodness!
thank you, Patraw.

oh, about the whiskers,

I have a collection of over a thousand due to the fact that I have done so much cat foster care over the years and find them on bedding, floors, and chairs.  Most of them are just in a box (I also have one dog from "Lampy my old sheltie who has been gone ten years now, several rat whiskers, another dog one from ChameleonHound's luv, and a harp seal from when my daughter was in college in Maine.)  I have made a pair of whisker earrings, with 50 in each dangling from a pony bead, but also use them on ATCs and as whiskers on sculpy critters.

thanks so much for posting the Calvin and Hobbes card, Patraw.
I feel quite lost without it! I have checked the pockets of the jacket I was wearing that day, no luck yet. It will turn up! It is such a wonderful piece of artwork. Really made me smile. I do not remember that one. I have such a massive stack of CnH books.  And the back is precious.

The poison dart frog is stunning!!  I want to hold the realistic little dude in my hand.

And the hound in space card, the placement is wonderful, the riders tucked in the upper corner like that. Clever theme, unique card.

My theme was odd pub sign.
curiousfae made this wonderfully creepy one, based on a real sign!
She says
This is a real sign found in a pub in Derbyshire England. Apparently it is named after 'the grim fate suffered by a landlord's wife who was too talkative.'

Oy! She looks so demure with her muff, cannot imagine such a fate for this poor gal.
I love the card and hope it represents the first of many for this theme.
thank you so much, curiousfae!!

That is the one my daughter played with involving monsters (it is now in the back barn) and she also had a round one (in her own back barn...) that may have come from France, where her uncle lived.

SweetPeaVintageArt on Etsy is where I found the egg for sale, Patraw. I had never seen an emu egg before and wondered how they could safely ship one. they are amazingly sturdy so it just came in a bit of bubble wrap!
