Hi, I am Meg, living in snowy upstate New York. I am a newlywed and crazy in love. I adore cats and really miss my cat rescue projects. I now live in an apartment where I can't have 20 foster cats...... wonder why....
I love to garden, volunteer, ski, ride my unicycle, make the world a better place.
I have a 24-year old daughter but feel 24 years old myself, even tho I have 6 months til my 50th birthday.

Here is my list

Cats, cats, and more cats, either tamed or wild
A veggie garden scene
Pen and ink
Things that happened in 1963 (my birth year) Have had great success with this topic in past ATC trades
moveables
doorways
fallen down barns
giant work-type horses
Scotland
your beloved childhood stuffed animal
embroidery
something of your choice with a scent on it (no cloves or patchouli please)
vines
something with moss on it
luna moths
a funny snowman (or snowwoman...)
interpret your favorite Perry Como song
Tintin

thanks!

here's the doorway card
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/data/500/161892_21Jan13_IMG_3320.JPG

I used different colors of water color paper I had painted, cut into strips.  Glued those onto an ATC blank card.  then I found a pic in a mag of a cool doorway (I thought it was cool), then did the packing tape transfer (google it, there's tons of links).  It's way cool to try......................Once I had the transfer, I just used double stick tape to stick it down.

Hope that explains it a bit better than I did in Blupaisan's card.  I wrote so fast, she prob couldn't read it!
:-)

Glad you liked it.

Thanks so much, Robin for relisting.  Your pic is 100% better!!

Be careful, you can get sick from mouse droppings, although the card is cute.

I did wash my hands very thoroughly after handling.  Thanks for caring, Barbara. (-;

I came home from a weekend away and discovered goodies in my mailbox!  Goodies galore!

First, from jillybeans, two cards...
One on my cats theme

Gosh, I love this card. I have always thought I should be a kitty (in a loving household of course...) and want to strike this pose.  This orange one reminds me of my dearly departed Woody, my best cat friend evar!  I love the way there is white space around the kitty. It's like an aura of peace.

next, for my favorite childhood stuffed animal, I present jillybeans's BunBun.

She says bunbun is now way more worn out than this pic shows.... typical use of a beloved stuffed animal. I think it is hillarious how as kids we come up with oh-so clever names, ahem, for our creatures!  Great job on bunbun!!

Next, a funny snowman from javaannie. I love the quote, and ya just know when that birdie flies away, he will have left a gift for the snowman to wear til he melts...

Then from Robinpich, on my doorways theme...

I think the technique on this is ubercool!  She calls it packing tape transfer. Allows you to do multiple stripey colors. Really neat. The doorway is very inviting...
I apologize for the pic. Do you have a better one?  Do not know why this one was fuzzy. I tried lots of times.

Lastly, on my Scotland theme from fancybutch

I love words that run two ways if you know what I mean. And the outline of the piper made me soooo nostalgic for the auld place.

Thank you sooo much, crafters, for your wonderful work. I love every one of em!!
1785  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Pro-house-mouse card! on: January 21, 2013 01:31:09 PM
So, I just came back from a ski weekend.... cabin in the woods. Mice abound in the kitchen. They have a gizmo that makes noise that is supposed to keep them away, but instead we find mouse droppings on counters, in pots and pans, in cuttlery, all over every clean tea towel. Everyone is ticked off about it, but personally I think we can learn to share the cabin. So I made this card and hung it up above the stove for all future renters to consider...

The droppings glued to the bottom are real...
The outside is birch bark that I pulled off a dead tree.

The inside is watercolor and pen and ink.

This is the wonderful Herbs card that cabaute made for me. I love it! She says she is more of a beginner for art, but she did an awesome job in my opinion. These are 2 of my fave herbs.
Love the tiny leaves on the left one...
thanks so much, cabaute!!
