481  Re: Birds Birds Birds r2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by blupaisan on: June 02, 2010 10:53:31 AM

Helloo, my name is Lillie and i am here to show off all the wonderful goodies that blupaisan opened up from teag today!!  Of course, there is me in all my cuteness, and there is the rest of my flock up in the tree with our little nest -

We all have clothespins on us, so we keep messages and things attached to us because blupaisan is a bit of a space case and desperately needs a little place to keep important pieces of information and lists and things.
Next, you get to look at me again,

while I rush off to get this awesome handcarved and painted box!

It has hinges and a magnet seal. There are going to be hair ties in it because hair ties get lost all over the house and create great frustration around here - I have seen it already.
Now, there were four other birdies traveling with me over the miles from Florida to Vermont, and now they are stuck to the fridge, but here they are as they came out of their box -

yes, they are very pretty, and also very useful, but  please do not forget how charming I am in my basic simplicity.
I have that certain look in the eye, n'est-ce-pas?
Finally, and a tear comes to my eye when she says it, but blupaisan says this is her favorite, is a zip pouch owl whom I will call Uppity because he thinks he's all that.

You should have heard blupaisan squeeee when she saw him.  ***sigh*** he looks just like a wisty dude from some list she always talks about...  and the back of him is "just stunning" as she puts it.

He will be put to use for special travel times.  Whereas I WILL BE PUT TO USE EACH AND EVERY DAY, AND THAT PROLLY SHOWS THAT I AM ULTIMATELY MORE IMPORTANT IN THE LONG RUN.
blupaisan says thank you to teag and is most impressed with her skills, of which there certainly is a wide variety, including this precious card!

482  how many points for EARRINGS in CHALLENGE 51 ENTRIES by blupaisan on: June 02, 2010 10:21:23 AM
I see another Craftster and I think along the same lines!!  Mine is for earrings only. I make wacky ones and like to keep them separate from my other normal ones.  So this was the perfect way to do so - The only before and after pics I have are the ones before I fill it up -

and after it is loaded with my goodies -

The top row reads Megs earrings, another section says doo dadz, then there is a place (the tiile holders)for stand-up card-type earrings, and a nest or two for larger earrings,
and the right section has my snakes in it, so of course I had to spell out snake.

I used the Scrabble box itsself too.  Couldn't have done it without it. The tiles are glued on and each tile has a bead on it to hold the earring in place.

I got the coolest TWO pages from Ralph! here is the first one, above. The backgrounds on both are fabulously detailed with alphabet stuff!

And the second one I am doing a close-up of because that section just tickles me pink!

I think my fave part about the first one is his jeans and hat!
I really love them both.  Thank you so much, Ralph! You made my day.

486  Re: Inchie My Theme Swap in The Swap Gallery by blupaisan on: May 28, 2010 10:01:28 AM
I have the great pleasure of posting AND hitting the THIS ROCKS button at the same time!!  Lookie what I got from xandcraft for my tree theme!

Here are two close-ups of the creatures in the oak tree:

Leaf, owl, spider, acorn, bees, red squirrel,

kitty, woodpecker, butterfly, pig (munching on acorns) shroomie, and worm.
Oh, my faves, it is so hard to pick! The woodpecker is stunning, but the owl has so much character. And I adore the squirrel's furry tail. And the worm is too cool, really well stitched. The spider is awesum, too, I could go on and on. It really totally rocks.  Thank you soooo much, xandcraft.

I am having so much fun opening my packages! I love how each artist has a new idea for Mr Ickybucket... here is Bladeburn's idea.  Look at all the little pupil monsters!  And the funny roll of toilet paper!  This is a great piece, Bladeburn.  Thank you so much!!
