21  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Bohemian skirt on: December 18, 2009 09:23:54 PM
I really like it Smiley I'll have to bookmark it so I can come back to it for inspiration when I get around to making some clothes for my daughter!
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cowboy Booties on: October 26, 2009 10:39:18 PM
Those are so cute!! I especially like the second pair. If I have time (and energy) I might make a pair similar to these for my bubs due in March, which is autumn over here in NZ.
23  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sewing Isn't Just for Grandmas and Mommies!! (a young crafter rant) on: July 15, 2009 09:07:48 PM
Wow that was really rude of the cashier! I'm 20 and have been sewing for a few years, and when I go to Spotlight (which is about an hrs drive away) I've noticed that a lot of the time the cashier will serve someone else ahead of me while I'm standing there laden down with bolts of fabric. They look at you then just move on to the next person. Makes it worse when I have my 15 month old daughter in the pram kicking up a fuss coz we're not moving anywhere (although she sometimes helps get the point across that I've been standing there awhile lol)
24  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Lynn the Steampunk Poppet on: June 24, 2009 01:59:27 AM
She is gorgeous!! I love her goggles and boots. I am all set to start making my first poppet but just have a few questions. Did you use the original size pattern? And what size are her eyes? I can't wait to make one for my daughter!
25  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for this kangaroo pattern on: June 23, 2009 10:37:57 PM
I'd like to start this by saying I have never made a "stuffie", but it looks to me that it's a simple pattern. I would just draw out a side view of the kangaroo, cut two and then make an insert for the tummy. That's just an idea Smiley
I found this link  - it isn't for a kangaroo but it has the general idea.

Your bag turned out great! Cute and very imaginative. I'm in the process of making a bag for my sister - it looks awesome in my head but it's having trouble materializing lol. Good work!!

I really like your bag - I'm in the midst of finding a design for my sister's diaper bag and that one has given me some inspiration!

great bag! I love your placement of the pattern on the bag.

Thanks! I couldn't decide where to place it so I asked my husband to put the paper patten on and just started cutting Smiley
