No, you are wrong. i understand and agree that rules need to be in place, but I'm sorry that the MODS can't adhere to them uniformly. You can't pick and choose who the rules apply to and who is exempt. It's all or none.
You guys can nit pick and be petty all you want, the bottom line is I made a valid point and you're dissecting my every statement trying to make it work in your favor.
I made my point, and based on the replies I'm already getting from people reading the posts, so far the mods are the only ones that don't see the bigger picture and agree with the things I have said.
So, whatever. I'm done stating the obvious. You know I'm right, I know I'm right, and more so everyone else knows I'm right. Regardless of what sad retort you may muster up the point has been made.
Go ahead and kick me in the tenders. I am right and you are inconsistent. There is no gray area when it comes to rules.
...WOW... Did you even read the quote? It was your quote after all.
This is pointless. Of course you'll have the final say, of course you can manipulate the rules to suit YOUR needs.
You guys are un-freaking-believable.
Moral to the story: If you have a valid point and stand up for what you believe to be right...Shut up. Nothing you can or will ever say will be nearly as important as our need to exercise the authority and control to bend the rules to suit our position in an argument/discussion because WE are Craftster, We are MANY...resistance is futile, you will be completely ignored and we will try to make you look like an incompetent fool while you try to make a valid argument. I'm right, you're wrong, I'm big, you're little, Nothing you say could POSSIBLY make a difference....and here's a picture of something fuzzy to make all the ugly words go away:
This is sticky. I'm going to say that if it's ABUNDANTLY clear that it is only intended for tobacco then it's ok. ie, no other drug related items in the package, no talk of drugs in the post (cheeky or otherwise)
"Projects that display illegal drugs, illegal drug paraphernalia or drug test circumvention materials are not permitted on Craftster."
Could you link me to the exact post the shows a picture of drug paraphernalia? I've looked through the entire gallery and cannot seem to locate it.
I never said there was paraphernalia, but it is very obvious what the subject is and according to your direct quote...well, you can read it above.
What *I* found that was supposed to be a no-no was...
A.) Pot leaves total count = 16 (Not a chance of it being oregano...considering the name of the show is WEEDS...)
B.) "The Suburban Baroness of Bud" reference made...clearly it means she drinks copious amounts of Budweiser beer, right?
C.) "...but i sent her a drawstring pouch a little marijuana leaf magnet" - Again...maybe it was actually Ginseng...they both lots of lobes. Or so I've heard. Nope, pretty sure it was clearly stated as Marijuana. Maybe I just need new glasses.
D.) "...a crocheted sprout and dirt coming out of a green pot that said "weeds" - Bean sprout? Clover sprout? nope, pretty sure it's a pot plant sprout, or the show would have been called "Beans".
E.) "<3 It says weeds around the side in what I believe is macro photos of weed?" - Ok, I'm fairly sure they're talking about an illegal substance and NOT dandelions or ragweed.
F.) "(I don't actually smoke cigarettes, but it with be used as a perfect baggie for other things. *ahem*)" - *ahem* Like what? Sounds pretty cheeky to me.
G.) "does the clock show 4 20??" - I guess she was referring to the hour of delivery perhaps? Maybe the actual time of completion? Much as I'd love to read between the lines, I think there's a very limited number of instances that 4:20 could possibly mean anything else.
Now as much as I'd love to split these hairs down to microfibers the point I'm trying to make is this. Don't you think that this is a direct violation of the rules that you so conveniently quoted to me? Isn't this exactly what you told me was NOT allowed when I asked about having a smokers swap for smoking enthusiasts?
Don't get me wrong, more power to the ladies that were able to sneak one past the almighty mod squad, but don't press rules in the face of one person who hasn't violated anything but your personal comfort levels...and totally disregard an entire swap group blatantly doing the cha-cha all over the rules you pointed out specifically.
You have to enforce it or loosen up is all I'm saying. Granted this is an adult themed show on a cable pay channel but if it is not within the rules to allow a MAJOR aspect of the swap, why let it go through? I'm fairly sure that more than one "cheeky or otherwise" comments would have to be explained to a kid reading that thread, I'm fairly confident that at least one person below the ADULT age of 21 (Hell, the swap didn't even have an ADULT age limit, but was open to anyone of any age according to the questionnaire) was exposed to this subject matter of illegal substances if they even so much as viewed the main graphic for the swap subject.
This is not the first time I've brought up issues with contradictions within the "rules and guidelines" and every time all I get is attitude and confrontation. It doesn't seem very fair to me. Perhaps you will be able to find the points I made references to in my rant, but if that was all cleared and slated as safe and acceptable Crafster policies, then perhaps I am not the problem here but the 'powers that be' should read their own rules and guidelines again. Maybe you could show ME where I am incorrect in my statements?
As it was pointed out, this site is based in the USA, and I believe freedom of speech is still one of the many luxuries of living here, correct? So I don't expect and snide remarks about keeping it fair and according to guidelines. I am stating a counter position to your statement/question.
Thank you for your understanding.
Ok, then explain to me (I've obviously missed something hidden in secret code of the moderators...) how THIS is acceptable, please...
I can't say for sure...I could be wrong on this, but there MIGHT have been a teensy-weensy d-r-u-g reference in there somewhere, "cheeky or otherwise". I suggest a swap for legit smoking enthusiasts and get all sorts of drug feedback & flak, but I'll bet you dollars to dimebags not one of these people got even so much as a squinted glare.
I give up. This makes my brain hurt. Countdown to moderator neutering my offensive post and reprimanding me to "keep it upbeat and positive" in T minus 5, 4, 3... I can't follow your logic, it's got way too many "what-if's" and "keeping the joy-joy happy vibe across the whole world" clauses in it to make any sense whatsoever.
Thanks to all for the kind words about my kitty. I just returned from the vets office and she is going into surgery this afternoon to remove a section of her intestines that have become obstructed. She is expected to make a full recovery, however now I have to start busting my ass to make things for an Etsy so I can recoup some of the $1200.00 that this little endeavor is costing me.
Well, what happened was the partner she had flaked and she was about to send out the package she had made for him and since I stepped in and did a package for her she just sent me what she had made for him. It's not a big deal. It wasn't like the stuff was made for me, she already had it packed and ready to go so she figured "what am I going to do with this now?" and sent it along. I wish I could volunteer for the position with this swap but I spent the morning in the vets office with a very sick kitty, and I have to go hock half of what I own now to pay for surgery she has to have. Not sure how I'm gonna do it but I have to, she's my baby!
No dice on the Friends of Crafster thing for being an angel. The girl I angeled for sent me a thank you package so they said since *I* got something in return I was a replacement partner and not an angel.
