1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: IYP 28? (time for another round of Invite Your Partner?) on: May 17, 2016 09:07:40 AM
Turns out I'm super swamped this month, but I will have more time to organize mid-June.  If someone else wants to kick it off before then, feel free.  Otherwise, look for signups in about a month!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Hoopla A-Long 2013-2015 on: April 03, 2016 10:53:05 AM
such fantastic hoops this month!  well done everyone!
I need to start looking for something to fit into this month's theme so I have something to share for this month!
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Shimmer Weekender on: April 03, 2016 09:27:09 AM
I love the quilting on the outside!  It's a beautiful bag - I know your sister will love it!  I have made 2 of those - they are definitely not the easiest bag to make, but they are awesome when completed!

Yay! And with those fantastic last packages, we are done with this round of IYP!!!
I will complete feedback and close out the swap later this evening.  Thank you all for another successful swap!!  Once again, everyone has outdone themselves!  Smiley

Edel, I'm so glad you like your package! It was fun to make. Smiley

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!  So the storage boxes have a zipper diagonally across the bottom. When you open the zipper, the pouches can lie flat like this

The bottom can actually fold in as well but this shows the zipper.
This is the tutorial a referenced. I used plastic inside the sides for structure.

And then, just because, here is another picture of the flamingo pouch ( sorry can,t seem to get it in the right direction :/   )

And more flamingos inside

The pouch is marine vinyl. I use a Teflon sewing foot and temporary spray adhesive to hold the appliqu pieces in place for stitching (after much trial and error!)

Wow, this swap gallery has been amazing (as always in the IYP swaps)!

I'm somewhat behind on commenting:

Love all of the sheepy goodness that AIMR created, but that adorable knit sheep pouch and the sheep butt hoopla are just fantastic!

I am always amazed by the things rackycoo creates and the stone house and standalone houses are no exception! So cool!

Pottermouth, the tiny ladybug embroidery is so tiny and delicate!  Lovely!

And cackle - another of your lovely silver pendants!  I have dabbled in precious metal clay but would not know where to begin to create something so detailed!

I think I would spend all day looking through the kids/clowns book by artsycandice!  So clever - so much to find!

The pencil scarf by kwality570 is so fun!

Of course, gozer's purses are to die for, but I am really loving that shadowbox!

Can't wait to see what else is in store!
