581  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: HP swap item. if you're partnered with me, please don't ruin your surprise!!! on: December 05, 2008 05:31:58 AM
Wow, this is amazing! Your partner is going to love this. I'm going to HAVE to try polymer clay. Just what I need, another craft to spend money on. *sigh*

This post will be image heavy, just so y'all know.

Big thanks to semicharm86 and also an apology for not getting these pics up sooner. My mother had to be hospitalized over the weekend so I wasn't able to do this before. She's going to be all right so I think we can all have a happy holiday now. I can't tell you what it meant to find this package in the mail. With all the other stuff going on, this was just the pick-me-up I needed.  We still haven't gotten our tree up, that will probably happen this weekend, but I wanted to go ahead and post my ornaments. Semicharm86 did such a great job. I know you'll agree. These are awesome!

First a group shot:

Then this glittery ball. It's going to catch the lights beautifully:

She also did this red one that is feathers and trinkets. It's so pretty:

No matter how I try, at least one pic always comes out blurry. Red ornament, this was your turn. Gah!

Then, my favorite. You should see this in real life, it's gorgeous! It's so shiny I caught a glare no matter what angle I tried.

It's silver and has blue and yellow leaves made with polymer clay. The leaves are so detailed they even have veins. How she did it I don't know, but it's pretty impressive.

Finally, as an extra treat, I got me some Lemonheads. Yum!

And a recipe for Peppermint Pinwheels. I can't wait to try it out.

Thanks bunches semicharm86. I love it all!

I love all the pretty ornaments everyone is getting. I also love those trivets, very nicely made. But other than the ornaments I received, which are the best ever, it's the etch-a-sketch for the win. That is so cool!

The trivet is very decorative and I love that little house. It's amazing how much detail you worked into something so small. Nicely done!

That is so romantic. I love it. The baby is adorable too.

Yay! I meant to send today, but I wasn't feeling the greatest and took a nap, meaning to get up on time to go to the PO. But I woke up as they were closing instead...oops...

No problem. It's still awhile before Christmas and it won't take long to get here.  Smiley

I am lovin' these felted ornaments.

Me too. I've been thinking about trying felting for awhile now. I never thought of making ornaments that way. Very nice.
587  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Alice in Craftster-Land - SIGN UPS CLOSED, SEND DATE: 1/7 on: November 24, 2008 09:05:33 PM
I think I may have a pattern picked out but I might change my mind. I'm flighty when it comes to stuff like that. *grin* Of course I have a few things I'd like to do for Christmas too. I just have to make sure not to overextend myself.

I love those ornaments, angeltreats. The cat is very cute but the knitted one is awesome. I love the pattern in it. Beautiful work there.

BTW, I sent to semicharm86 today. They said she should receive by the end of the week.  Smiley

I love them, and I'm as impressed with the hooks as the ornaments themselves. Simply beautiful.

Oh, thank you so much Krafty_Karasu! Those pics really do them justice. I love the snowball one but I have to admit the yellow one is my fave.  Smiley You're as awesome a photographer as you are a crafter.
