I'm happy to start small and get the hang of things.

That's really a good idea. You get some successes and it gives you confidence to take on the next thing and the next. I thought I'd never be able to do cross stitch because of all the counting but I tried it and I'm glad I did. There are some great designs out there.

This is a really cute one and you did a great job on it. If you're just starting you might look for some of the British cross stitch mags, "Cross Stitch Crazy", "Cross Stitcher", etc. They often have designs with no fractional or special stitiches. Very easy to do.

What a great pillowcase. Great stitiching here and what a fun subject. She's a true redhead all right.  Smiley And I love her stockings and heels. I can't think of anything for the banner but I'm sure you'll find something appropriate. This is great.

I love the font you used. This is funny. I can just imagine the double-takes this will inspire. lol

Not only great Pac Man stitchery but also kinda "Brady Bunch" with them all looking at each other. Pac Man was my favorite game growing up. I think because it was all about eating. lol

Very fine, delicate work. Simply beautiful.

I love the saying, but the man and woman are particularly cute. Nice stitiching and color choices as well.

Wow! This is amazing work. I don't know what your fill in stitch is called either but this is beyond awesome. I think I remember seeing this guy before but I'm not sure. At any rate, the stitching on this is perfection. I'd take up embroidery again if I could do something like this.  Smiley

This is a huge piece and the stitiching is excellent. I can't even imagine finishing a project of this magnitude. I love the Assyrian symbol at the top as well. I've always been interested in ancient cultures.  Your friend is lucky you were willing to put in the time and effort it obviously took designing and stitiching something like this. Nicely done.

What a special gift. The director will treasure this. I can't believe it only took you three days. Excellent design and stitching.

Cut the piece above her head so the lines are gone, then even up the sides so that from the stitching to the edge there are the same number of squares. Then backstitch around it one or two squares in and glue it to the front of a blank journal. It would make a great gift for yourself or someone else.
