31  UNITED STATES / Alaska / In person Holiday Craft Swap? on: September 28, 2005 08:54:55 PM
. . .kinda like a cookie exchange pary but with a crafty spin on it   Cheesy

Would anyone be up for an intown craft swap pary in Eagle River or Anchorage Mid November?  I'd been thinking of having a party where people bring say 6-12 of the same thing to swap with other craft minded peoples.  Say person A brings scarves, B brings note books and so on.  That way you could make what you are into but still have variety come Gift Giving season. . . Wink

happoned upon this totaly by accident as I was trying to make creamed potatoes and peas but I put too much milk in. . .so her goes:

*1 baking potato (pealed and choped)
*1/3 cup peas
*3 boulion cubes
*salt
*pepper
fill pot till foo is almost covered
bring to boil and cook till potatoes are fork tender (abt 15 min...)
in shakeable container mix
*1 cup milk
*2-3 tbl corn starch (I'm guessing cause I just dumped some in. . . Wink
add to potatoes and peas, then add
*dolup of ranch dip (or dressing, about 1/4 cup)

in seperate pan cook you meet, I used a chicken boobies, cook then chop n' add to soup

Vala. . .it was alot of scoup and dump and no measureing so I did alot of guessing here  Sad but figured since I had to write down this recipe (DH & I 's new fave potatoe soup) figured I'd share the weath  Wink

Background papers is older though. . .a book my uncle gave me for my crafts. . .from 1875.

Santa was a find at one of the State Fair booths with vintage goodies like 5 years ago.
