all these watercolor cards are exactly why I bought another watercolor set today. the one I got at Michaels is like...chalky? it's perfect for certain projects, like the pocket letter swap I'm in, but not for making the pretty things I'm seeing here.
I agree. I have two different ones from Michael's that have some really pretty colors, and are cheap but like you said, they are kinda chalky. I find I have to do my pen work after I paint. If not, the chalkiness clouds the ink lines and I find I have to go over them again. Of course, like most things, the more expensive kind probably doesn't do that but who's got money for that when there are soooo many other crafty things to buy!
I bought some liquid watercolor which I really like. A little more expensive (not much) but you can stretch it out by watering it down. I also found that I can squirt a little in a paint well and when it dries out I can just re-wet it.
