I'd like for it to stick to survivor horror, but if horror in general generates more interest, that'd be cool too. I just really want to stick with Silent Hill, Fatal Frame, Haunting Ground, etc. that's just my personal taste. I don't think I'd be willing to do Dead Space as I watched just one single youtube video and I refused to go down to the basement for 3 days after that. that game is FREAKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! same with FEAR. *shudders*
Neither were as scary as they looked. Did you see an older movie with Lawrence Fishburn & Sam Neil called "Event Horizon?" Then you've seen "Dead Space," lol. The game was good; not terrible, but not great, either. Wasn't as scary as I thought it could have been. As Yahtzee says, it's really more startling than scary, and after a dead body jumps up to bite you for the 5th time in a row, it ceases to be scary, lol. The most amazing part of the game is the zero-gravity mechanic and a subsequent boss fight utilizing it. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
I like the points system, and I think we could easily put horror genre, and then try to match folks up based on their likes and dislikes.
So far is anyone here non-US? I think for shipping purposes I'd like to limit it to US-only, but if we have a bunch of non-US interest, obviously I won't.
really?!?! I never saw it, but that's pretty much Dead Space? wow. it's freaking me out just thinking about it right now, but the video I saw was just the character (I forget his name) standing at the end of a hallway with a door to his left. the reason for this was so that we could just hear the sound of the creature somewhere in that area. I had chills...hair standing on end, shivers down my spine...it was nuts (I'm kind of easily influenced by stuff in general due to my overactive imagination...and I'm friggin' 27!!!).
yeah I think the points system works well. I don't understand why some people are discouraged by it or confused. most swaps I've been in use the point system.
as for me, I think I may have to back out of the international shipping for a while, so if it's limited to the US, that's fine by me. it depends on what goes down in the next couple days/weeks with my job. but if it is extended to international, that's fine too. I'll just have to decline and go with US shipping.
