3641  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Fabric ATC Swap Round 4 - SIGNUPS CLOSED SEND BY April 22 on: March 28, 2009 04:29:10 PM
I, too, noticed a theme with my partners.  It's my game night tonight and I'm trying to organize and clean my crafting room in the process.  Monday will be the big ATC day for me.  I'll have a ton of ideas by then.  I'll probably make a couple for my partners, as well.  I'm sure these little babies will be just as addictive as the paper ones.

yup.  I noticed a theme too.   Wink  something to keep my mind from going numb until I can get back into jewelry making!!!  so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking it's a good idea I bought some stuff long before now.  it'll come in handy for this.  Cheesy  may not be able to start on them until after Wednesday (since I'm not allowed to drive right now) if I happen to need anything else.  but I shouldn't.  for now, I'll just work on ideas.

I have never done ATCs before but am looking forward to trying something new.

I have been tempted to buy the DVD.  I loved that show.

and yes, this is definitely a dressy piece.  I can't really picture myself wearing this with jeans and a tank top (it's not long enough for a normal t-shirt-type neckline).  now, to find a time/place to wear it...

while this is wonderful and disturbingly realistic, I can't look at it too long for just that reason.  I thought it was a real bug!!!!!!  I absolutely HATE those things.  they freak me out to no end, especially when I see one speeding across my living room floor.  *shudder*

you still did a wonderful job nonetheless.   Smiley

and as far as some saying get rid of the dampness, you'll get rid of these things, I don't necessarily find that to be true.  our basement is as dry as Death Valley (though not as hot thankfully) and we still get them.  I found myself spraying Windex at one crawling on the basement wall just last summer.  it fell, I don't know where it went, but I haven't seen any crawling around since...so far.  maybe it lived long enough to tell all its buddies to look out for the human that sprays poison liquid.

and now I'm paranoid!!!!!!!!!!!  thank you very much!!!!!!   Cry Cry Cry  where's that Windex...

love it.   Smiley

the more wolf charms I see, the more jealous I get.  mine STILL hasn't come in from like...January I think it was.  I want to make my bracelet!   Cry
3647  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Necklace fit for Vampire royalty on: March 12, 2009 06:55:54 PM
or at least I'd like to think so.  I had ordered the red drops with 3 loops on a whim, thinking I could come up with something to do with them.  so I sat down today at my little table with my millions (maybe billions) of beads, and finally came up with this.  I love this necklace so much.  it's not just because it does remind me of maybe something Lillie from Kindred: The Embraced would wear, but because it's sparkly and red.  2 of my favorite things.   Grin

I made the picture much bigger than just the necklace because I also wanted to show off that I FINALLY bought a display, so my pictures will look a little more professional from now on.   Wink

she is so cute!!!

what is really creepy about this though is that I was just wandering around eBay a little bit ago and accidentally stumbled upon a bunch of merchandise based on her (and the others of course).  talk about a weird coincidence!

totally rocks!

the first thing I thought of when I saw the thumbnail was that someone had made a painting of Batman and Robin combined with the look of the band Gorillaz.  I love Gorillaz!!!  and I love Batman!!!  (never was much of a Robin fan, but he's cool here too  Smiley)

great job!
