thank you.   Smiley

and that's what I really wanted too.  I'm having a difficult time finding a crest with a flat back without spending an arm and a leg on a "movie prop" just to take it apart.  plus, the one's that I have seen I am 99.9% sure wouldn't fit my wrist.  I have tiny wrists and already struggle to find leather watch straps that fit me.  so, I came up with this.   Grin

ok.  I'm keeping beading sessions small until my shoulder is completely healed.  I hurt.   Sad

but on the bright side, doing a biggish beading session today resulted in this:

I tried like crazy to glue the cabochon to the cuff, but each time it peeled right off.  I used fabric cement, regular hypo cement, and I even tried gorilla glue.  nothing held.  I FINALLY got the bright idea to just trace around the cab then embroider with beads.  it fits in there nice and snug and the beaded bezel will keep it in there.  the bottom stitched line is a little crooked, but that's what you get for trying to sew lamb skin.  it's so soft and stretchy...and a royal pain.  I imagine that spandex is worse, but this was bad enough.

and to make up this cuff, I used black lamb skin leather for the cuff itself, a...I forget the size onyx cabochon, and topaz 11/0 Delicas.  I'm pretty happy with it.   Smiley

what do you think?

I love "Spring Breeze".  it looks like it has little leaves dancing on the stitched swirls of wind.  it's great!

I do like the tree one too.  trees/leaves...another love of mine.   Wink

I'm biased.  I've got a thing for dragons too.   Wink  so I have to say it's my favorite.

when we first moved into this house it still had shag in 2 rooms.  there was a brown, black, white and tan mix carpet in the living room and a light blue, indigo, aqua and white mix carpet in my parent's room.  the blue mix carpet was actually kinda pretty.  I still remember the fun I had the night before the new carpet came in.  I went "sledding" (I think that's the term I want to use) on the beautiful wood floors.  I don't miss that carpet for the world.  sorry.   Undecided

actually, I'd rather have shag in my room than what WAS in my room when we moved in.  golden yellow indoor/outdoor carpeting.  *gag*  oh yeah, and matching green carpet in the kitchen.

I do prefer the constant avatars to yesterday's randomness.  It was like, I actually had to read user names...  crazy stuff, man.  Grin

having to read user names...nonsense it was!   Wink
