it's 28 squares per inch using a single thread.

*mind boggles*   Shocked

I agree! Holy cow! I have a hard enough time doing cross stitch on 14 count Aida. That is going to be one epic piece of cross stitching when you are finished!

that's what my last two projects were too (Batman and Lord Canti).  I actually wanted to do it on 32 count, but that stuff is expensive!!!  Angry

I've been wanting to do a project like this because the ones I see are always so cool and look almost like an actual picture.  so, here I am, trying to do this project.  Undecided

Research Project Name: Marilyn Manson cross stitch
Team: Multimedia
Brief Description: this project may just take me 3 months.  it's being done on 28 count Monaco Evenweave fabric with 18 colors of floss.  this will be the biggest, most detailed cross stitch project I have done so far.  I made the pattern with a free converter from a picture I found on the net that I LOVE.  I started it on April 30th and I don't even have a solid corner done.  it's 28 squares per inch using a single thread.  I'm already going crazy, so be prepared to call the men with butterfly nets by the time I'm done.

I'm pretty sure you can do a WIP as a research project as long as you have 3 more weeks of work to do in it!

Yep, Krafty_Karasu, you can still propose it as a Research Project!  Just like Smeddley said, as long as you have at least three weeks left to go before it's finished!  So go ahead and propose it over in the Spring thread!  It will carry over to Summer.

cool beans.  thank you both!  I wasn't sure when I read the info on research projects, so I'm glad I could get some clarification.  Smiley

I'm still alive.  I've just been overwhelmed by an insane cross stitch project I decided to work on.  every time I pick it up, I ask myself, "why did I do this?"

hmmm...I can do this as a research project!  it's going to take me longer than 3 MONTHS I'm sure...   Cheesy

no I can't.  Cry  I've already started it.  but it's only been about a week.  I started it on April 30th.  wow.  ok so it's been 2 weeks (and that's all I have done?!  gods I hate 28 count cloth!!!!!!!!!!!).
think that maybe since I have a definite start date, I can be added?  I know that's my exact start date because I had an important worker's comp appointment that day and I told myself I wasn't starting the project till I had all the floss I needed, which I ended up picking up that day.

Needlebook for the One Tiny Surprise Thing swap - the felt flowers were another Pin, though they were technically supposed to be whipped cream dollops.

I have them pinned too.  they are SO cute!  I love the needlebook itself too.
