1  Mary Engelbreit Accent Pillows in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by dawnofdolls on: July 21, 2012 10:39:27 AM
I made these Mary Engelbreit accent pillows yesterday.  Saw the fabric and thought it was super cute.  The pillows are 2-sided print, have invisible-style zippers, and the covers are removable for easy washing.   Grin

2  Pink Hello Kitty Robe in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by dawnofdolls on: July 18, 2012 03:47:57 PM
I made this Hello Kitty robe today.  It fits a 12-18 month old.  It was a fun project, and relatively simple.

Thanks for looking!!

3  Boy and Girl Dog Hoodie Shirts in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by dawnofdolls on: July 18, 2012 05:50:07 AM
I haven't been on here in forever.  We recently bought a house, so I've been occupied with that - but I finally broke out the sewing machine this week!  I found a pattern for a dog hoodie, and decided to try it and change each one up a bit.  I had my bulldog Georgie model them for your amusement.  lol

I've only done size Medium so far (18-35 lbs), but I think I'm going to make some Small and X-Small too.

Thanks for looking!

4  My amateur painting skills... in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by dawnofdolls on: September 02, 2010 12:25:47 PM
I actually did these paintings a couple of years ago.  I came across these pictures when I was cleaning out my e-mail this week.

I was playing around with paint... definitely nothing too impressive here, but I had a good time.   Grin  I need to try my hand at it again - maybe once I finish school and have time for such craftiness.

One more from February, called "The Archer." Not sure if she'll do any more, but she really enjoyed the experience.

6  Remodeled and Refreshed Bathroom in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by dawnofdolls on: March 08, 2010 11:20:36 AM

So in the next few months I will be moving in with my boyfriend of 3 years.  He has been living in a duplex for the past 9 years or so, and I will be moving into his place while I finish school.   Smiley

Being that we both have to get up and head out the door around the same time, I have decided to "take over" his spare bathroom... and make it my own.   Smiley  As you can see from the before pictures, this bathroom had been virtually abandoned.  Even when it was clean, there were mineral stains in the tub... the old wallpaper was beginning to lift and peel away from the wall near the tub... the blinds were old... there was no light fixture over the light bulbs... and the list goes on.

Anyhow, here are the BEFORE pictures:

The stained tub... ewwwwwwwwwww

My renovations:  I sanded and varnished the cabinets, put a texture paint on the walls, painted the ceiling white and the walls a vanilla color, used a LOT of CLR and spent a LOT of time getting the tub cleaned out, put a wood and rock border around the tub, painted the borders brown, added new blinds and fixtures... as well as a medicine cabinet.  Finally, threw in a new rug and some towels and... Voila!!  It was a LOT of work... but I love taking showers in my new "fancy" bathroom.  haha   Cheesy

And here are the AFTER pictures:

Clean tub!!

I'm so glad it's all done!!   Grin

This photographer, Darla Teagarden, did another photoshoot with my niece this past week - this one is called Ophelia.

These photos are going to Berlin... I think her work is so magical.   Smiley

I borrowed my boyfriend's Canon G10 while he's working tonight... playing around with it.  I think I'll keep it.  Cheesy haha

These are a couple I took on our way home from going out to eat today... I was look "Oooh, look at the sky!  Where's your camera - quick!!" lol

10  Creepy Cool Photography in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by dawnofdolls on: June 17, 2009 02:48:38 PM
These are pictures that a local photographer (and acquaintance of my sister) did of my niece, Cezanne.  She had asked to use my niece as a subject for her work... and I think they look amazing, even though I'm a biased Auntie.   Wink

Although I didn't take the pictures myself, I think they are too neat not to share.   Grin  I am very proud of the great job my niece did of role-playing for the pictures as well.   Grin

The photographer is Darla Teagarden:
