Thanks for sharing the garden photo, Lynda. Your part of Wales looks startlingly like central British Columbia, at least under a layer of snow. Do you get much snow there in the winter?

Wulf

Unfortunately, unless it's a really bad winter, we only usually get a few days of snow around this time of year.
Personally I'd love to live somewhere where at least 3 months of the year I was snowed in!

HAPPY IMBOLC everyone

It snowed here overnight so I won't be planting my broad beans at the allotment today, as the site looks like this ;0)

Wow, that was fast, Emily! How can Lynda's package get to you from Wales in so much less time than your package across the border to Canada?

I think leaving the next swap til Beltane seems like a good solution. And maybe we can stir up a little interest among the WWP group by then, to attract more participants.

Wulf

That was really fast! It has always taken about 13 days or so for my international packages to get to the recipients. Causes me a lot of anxiety.  Huh

I'm just glad it got there on time!

I've been thinking about the next WWP swap, and although Ostara is a great favourite, I wonder if we still have a large enough group of interested swappers to support doing them for all eight sabbats right now. The past several swaps have been a half-dozen or less, and that means mostly the same core group of people swapping with each other over and over. Sad Perhaps a solution would be to skip the solstices and equinoxes this year and try to draw bigger groups for Beltane, Lammas and Samhain.

Wulf

seems a good idea

...I am a bit confused by the weights, as worsted seems a bit thinner but I have adapted...

As far as I knew worsted is 10ply and double knit (DK) is 8ply.

yes that's the gauge I use
..
we do have soft acrylics here in the UK thank goodness, as although I spin /knit for others in wool I can't wear it myself as I come out on a rash!
I knit / crochet lots of throws / blankets in lovely soft acrylics, which wash and wear well.
..
I must try this spiral pattern sometime soon, as it looks so lovely  Grin
