11  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My boyfriend's scoodie - with pattern and tutorial on: December 13, 2009 02:26:22 PM
He walks to work everyday and it's getting pretty cold out there so I made this for him.

I added the line drawing because I drafted a pattern and I'm writing a tutorial for this. The pattern can be downloaded from my blog and the tutorial will be online soon:

12  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Very pink fleece robe on: December 01, 2009 11:02:39 AM
For my little princess who recently started asking for pink clothes...

I used NewLook 6334 for this.
13  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little summer dress from a recycled skirt (better late than never) on: November 23, 2009 05:35:24 PM
I used an old skirt, some vintage lace from a lot found on ebay and NewLook pattern 6821.
I was supposed to finish this 6 months ago...  Embarrassed

Let's hope it still fits my 4 year old next spring.
14  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / New pajamas for my daughter - updated with new version on: October 26, 2009 09:12:46 AM

I made the panda appliqu and knee patches from leftover fabric and a used top. The panda and hearts were both her ideas and I let her choose the pajama model.
The pattern is NewLook 6932.

And I made another one with the leftover fabric:
15  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hello Kitty top for fashion doll - updated with matching pants on: October 03, 2009 05:17:44 AM
I gave in last week and bought some fashion dolls for my daughter. She kept torturing my very breakable japanese drawing mannequin so I figured why not.

The fashion dolls were an instant success. She loves Hello Kitty and everything pink so I made some sleepwear:

Hello Kitty is drawn with a micron pen and painted with fabric acrylic.

I'm working on the matching pants right now. This takes me right back to my childhood when I used to design clothes for my barbies. Cheesy

Update: with pants

16  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / First attempt at MP on: June 29, 2009 01:42:00 PM

I finally decided to give soapmaking a try. I don't have all the equipment for cold process yet so I'm having some fun with melt and pour.
I made a bunch of soaps for my mother in law's birthday and used the leftovers for this soap.
It has goat's milk, flaxseed and wheat germ, plus rose and cucumber fragrant oils.
17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Panties from a recycled top (again!) on: June 12, 2009 01:15:20 PM

I recycled another of my sister's old tops for this.
She has a very bratty black cat named Paulette who happens to hate me. This is revenge! Cheesy

Tutorial here.
18  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Embroidered crochet roll on: June 04, 2009 12:27:11 PM
I made this simple crochet roll for Shop the swap 27, using one of my own designs.
I'll upload a pattern and tutorial later if anybody's interested.

19  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Emperor's wife on: January 23, 2009 07:20:48 AM
Is digital art OK? I drew this in photoshop.

I'd like to improve my drawing and coloring skills and I think I'm going to start by studying some color theory. Any good books you'd recommend?
20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Shrink plastic animals on: December 23, 2008 08:44:42 AM
This is a last minute Christmas gift for my 3 year old.
She really enjoys making necklaces and I was looking for an excuse to try the shrink plastic kit I got in the DIY kit swap.

I can't believe how much they shrunk.
I'll probably make some more today.
