2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: License plate mailbox on: August 20, 2009 07:00:57 AM
That is really awesome! Are there certain postal specifications that you have to make it to?

I looked it up and I couldn't find any rules for wall mounted mailboxes but I do know that the curbside mailboxes have certain specifications. The woman who delivers our mail loves my mailbox, she says its the most unique one she has seen in our area.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / License plate mailbox on: August 19, 2009 04:56:39 PM
About a year ago i saw a license plate mailbox for sale on some website for about $300 and I really loved it but it wasn't the kind that was wall mounted so I didn't get it. (i also didn't want to spend $300 for a mailbox)

A few weeks ago I made a california mailbox and I kinda over did it and made a few more. Here is a picture of the one I have mounted.

the design is really simple but they are a pain in the butt to make. after making a few of these i have realized i am not as strong as i thought i was, i had to get my dad to break some of the rivets for me.

uhm, that is quite a collection there........a tiny part of me was very very pleased to see that I am not the only one who needs to organize in specific ways (by color grade, alphabetical, numerical....whatever is most appropriate and 'organized')

tell me...have you seen a nice bronze polish recently?? i have been looking, but there are plenty of silvers, golds, and coppers....but no good bronze! i have been making do with a black base coat covered by shiny copper penny, but i would love a nice bronze

i just figured someone who is obsessed interested in polish may have seen such a color  Roll Eyes teehee

OPI has two colors called "Brisbane Bronze" and "Sonata in Bronze" I am not sure how they look IRL but I have seen a few swatches and they look pretty good.

nice, i also have an addiction to nail polish. i have about 60 bottles and most are China Glaze, Misa, Essie and OPI. I need to find a better way to store them cuz right now they are in a box.
