i realized after  completing the fish that its probably not Koi afterall--do they have whiskers?  oh well, i'm just hoping that she will look past that little fact...

Yup, koi have whiskers! Smiley

(You can read here )

Very nice job on the pillowcases!  I don't think your giftees will notice any of the spots that are irking you at all!

What about a tiramisu filling?  You could take mascarpone, mix with some coffee and chocolate and pipe that into a donut.
3  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Easy Peanut Butter Cookies on: January 09, 2006 08:25:37 PM
As far as the honey and peanut butter sandwiches, that is so funny that you said that, because a coworker was JUST telling me yesterday about how he loves pb and honey sandwiches on wheat bread. he swears by it and said that it is the best when you put it on wheat and toast the bread before spreading the pb and honey on. i went to try it yesterday morning for breakfast but my honey was crystallized  and i was running too late to mess with it, but i'm going to try it this weekend.

I actually sort of prefer PB and honey sandwiches with crystallized honey - it gives them a little bit of crunch that I like Wink

That's _adorable_!! it!!

My dad collects turtles, so I'm always on the lookout for 'turtle things'.

I'm sorry Poppysmum.  That picture is a "standard" on another forum I frequent and is meant as a, "Dude, where's my picture!?!" smiley, not one to be offensive.  I forgot that not all forums are the same and what may be an accepted joke in one place might not be in another.

Upon re-looking at the smileys, I can certainly see how it could be taken the wrong way.

*apologizes profusely*

The pillowcases are adorable and I'm sure they'll be loved for years to come!

I can't see your picture  Sad

Edited: Removed picture of smileys holding signs saying, "This thread is worthless without pics."

I bought a pair of tea towels from the Sublime Stitching shop so that I could embroider them for a Halloween gift exchange and due to time limitations (I was afraid if I started looking for something smaller I wouldn't have them finished in time and I don't have a sewing machine (to make them smaller)) so I ended up using them for the gift even though they're on the ginormous side.

Since then, I've purchased tea towels from a different site, but would gladly return to purchase more from Sublime Stitching if they were a more 'typical' size.  Smiley
