I forgot to take a picture of the GD's before I started using them lol, so here they are plus a square I've made out of the red and yellow ones for the charity Knit-A-Square Smiley

24  Rene The Western Kokeshi Doll in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by EssHaych on: August 26, 2009 12:38:22 PM
Hi!

Just wanted to share this doll I made, she's called Rene and she's a variation on a crocheted kokeshi doll. I love making Kokeshie dolls, and yesterday came up with the idea of doing them a bit differently by adding different hair styles and hats!

I gave her a little black beret and sewed on a rose shaped button for decoration. I'm happy with the way she turned out!

I plan on making more; with different hair and hats lol

Thanks for looking! Grin

27  Muzzy The Flumpelbee! (4 Pics) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by EssHaych on: July 29, 2009 08:19:20 AM
Hi!
I was freeform crocheting the other evening, and decided to improvise a fairy type creature. The result was Muzzy, the Flumpelbee! He stands (or sits!) at about 6.5'' tall, made with double knit yarn and a 3.25mm hook. He has little wire wings, which I made from craft wire and sewed to his back. I'm really happy with the way he turned out!

All c&c welcome! Cheesy

Cheesy

Hi!
I'm once again looking for testers for one of my amigurumi patterns, this time it's for Sam the Teddy Bear Cheesy He stands at approx. 14cm's tall, when using a 3.5mm (US size E) hook, and took me a couple of hours to crochet. I'm allowing 2 weeks to finish him though, so there's no hurry!

The only stitches you will need to know for this pattern are single crochet, chain stitch, slip stitch, increase and decrease.

If you're interested in testing for me please PM me and I'll send you the pattern! Thank You! Grin

(Click picture to view full size)

3rd June
Walter arrives on 3rd June, and was a bit shy; he didn't want to leave his envelope!

But as he was hungry, we coaxed him out with some of my Mums birthday cake and a glass of coke!

5th June

I introduced Walter to my pet hamster Nora today, I think they like each other!

8th June

Walter and I were gonna go to London today, but it's been postponed 'till a later date Smiley Instead, we spent a nice day at home crocheting! Walter was a great help to me whilst I was working on my latest project!

Later on we decided to check out Craftster. He enjoyed seeing everyone's adventures!

12th June

Mini shopping trip today looking for garden furniture and hoilday clothes. This is Walter on the way to the shops in our car...

Walter and I checked out some cool socks; he said he liked the panda ones best!

Finally we stopped at B&Q. Walter helped us look for garden chairs. This was his favourite one. He said it was comfy!

14th June

Today we went for a walk around Langdon Hills, which is a massive park with woodlands and stuff.

This is Walter outside the park

Langdon Hills has some great views out over the Thames Estuary....

We saw some local wildlife, including lots of rabbits!

And a snake! No need to worry though; it's only made of wood!
