1  First of many poppets! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by septembergirl67 on: July 02, 2008 11:10:11 PM
Making my first poppet was more fun than anything else I have sewn in ages!

She doesn't have an "official" name yet but I am leaning towards Topanga .  I think I got a little too carried away with the hair and for some reason it reminds me of Danielle Fishel when she first started playing Topanga on Boy Meets World.  I am open to suggestions though.  My first thought- before the hair, was Liliana.

I'm not entirely satisfied with her.  The fabric I used was actually patterned in sort of an alligator skin raised surface but I think my iron was too hot and it melted the pattern.  My next one is going to be out of purple furry material.

Here are a few pictures of her evolution.

Pleased to make your acquaintance!
Cousin It?

Does my hair make my head look too small?
