1  Re: Embroidery Hoopla Rnd 5 - Color Spectrum Gallery!! (Send 6/6/11) in The Swap Gallery by bexieboo on: June 01, 2011 03:31:42 PM
I received from AlmostDawn a couple of weeks ago, but haven't been able to post pictures yet due to being on holiday and the subsequent massive jetlag. It's terrible of me cuz she sent me such a beautiful hoop and I should've shared it ages ago!

And I've finally mounted my hoops on the wall! Here they all are together:

Thanks so much AlmostDawn!

These packages are all so amazing!

I received an amazing package last week, and I feel terrible that I haven't posted pictures until now!

Firstly:

A fantastic hoop from my wist!

An adorable tiny Russian doll tile pendant.

A Russian doll make up bag! I absolutely love this, I've already filled it with my make up! The little pendant is also in the pic to show how dinky and darling it is.

An utterly beautiful knitted bag, which will be perfect to take my books to the beach on my holiday next week!

Absolutely lush smelling soaps, they're heavenly!

Aaaaaand my absolute favourite part of the package...

A glittery gnome! I've been wanting one forever and he's just perfect!!

And who was the mastermind behind all this fantastic spoiling?

Sinellia! Thank you so so much, I love all of it!

I am in complete and utter love....they're yellow and grey to match my craft room, and the birdies fit in perfectly with my birdie wallpaper! Thanks so much MrsKAT!

Hello all! Amazing hoops!! I particularly love the Russian doll hoop and the rabbit on the sofa Smiley

I received from Sparrowarms at the beginning of the week, and today is the first time I've been around in the daytime to take pictures!

I asked for a monogram, and boy did she deliver!

I'm just in awe of the amazing neat stitching, and I love the gold ribbon around the edge!

And here's the lovely back Smiley Thank you Sparrowarms!

I received from Songs4Drowning!

Isn't it beautiful!! I'm mesmerised by the amazing stitches in the hair. She said that the fabric is a Japanese print that she's been hoarding, and I'm so touched that she sent it to me! It's covered in images from Alice in Wonderland and I totally love it. Thank you Songs4Drowning!

Pictures of the fantastic package I received from Disco Queen Highness a few days ago....

Something beginning with L... lovely blue yarn made of merino, silk and bamboo. I can't wait to make myself something really lush with it Smiley

Something golden.... gold yarn!

Something lumpy...a bag in lovely patterned fabric.

I don't know if I'm just being especially stupid today, but as one strap is longer than the other, is there a specific use for it? Or is it just so you can hang it on your shoulder and get into it easier?

Something local... PEANUT BUTTER CUP HOT CHOCOLATE! Never in my wildest dreams could I have thought such a wonderful thing existed! I had some as soon as I finished unwrapping everything!

Sender's choice.....a needle book in Russian Doll fabric that folds up into a cute puffy shape.... I <3 Russian dolls, and I've been needing a needlebook forever, thank you!

Something less than 2".... a needle gauge pendant. I love the colour you chose for me!

And the best thing ever....
Something long....a gorgeous reversible apron with Russian doll fabric!

I can't believe you had the patience to sew on all that rick-rack! It fits perfectly, and the skirt goes all around, which is perfect cuz I'm a messy cook!

Thank you so much Disco Queen Highness!

9  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 13 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bexieboo on: May 24, 2010 01:45:27 PM
Aww, sucks that we might need an angel.
My partner said she recieved just before the weekend but shes gone to see her Mum and Dad so I have to wait until she gets back to find out if she likes everything. Urgh  Tongue

Sorry to keep you in suspense! I just picked up the package from the PO today and pretty much ran home with it!

Bubblegum_phoenix went with my burlesque theme, and sent me a fantastic package.

My yarn ball! It was just a little smaller than a bowling ball. There's a cute green button marking the end of the yarn.

Some loot! (I took pictures of the unwrapping, but trust me, they were several in number, and you don't wanna deal with that loading time lol) Two button combs, some little jewellery charms, and two lovely pairs of earrings. They're sitting on a T-shirt that reads "Love"....unless you're looking in the mirror, then it says "Hate". You did a great job on this Bubblegum, it came out great!

A lovely ruffly scarf, some coasters and two sequinned combs.

Lipbalm and lipgloss in a fab colour, lemongrass soap, cocoa butter lotion (I loooove cocoa butter!), Tim Tams, which are like British Penguins, and a lovely crochet sleep mask with eyes!

A notebook, pasties (with all the sequins sewn on by hand! I am in awe of you!), false nails with lacy tips (very cute!) and circular needles.

The yarn and the pattern. It's pure wool and it smells like sheep! Cheesy (I don't see many sheep living in the middle of London lol) I love the pattern, I told Bubblegum that I like bags with a fat bottom and she chose a fantastic pattern for me.

My favourite bits...

A necklace with a tiny corset pendant. How adorable is this?!

A NARWHAL! As soon as I realised what this was, I freaked lol. I am completely in love with him, but I haven't thought of a name for him yet. Any suggestions?

I also got a NZ postcard and a kiwi pen, but I didn't get pictures for them for some reason...
Thank you so much Bubblegum_phoenix! I think this has been my favourite ever swap, and I can't wait for the next round!

Teehee, it is a hook roll. I guess with the fabric all being the same the slots are a bit camouflaged lol. I look forward to seeing pics of your completed Elton!

Here's a couple of clearer pics of the loot:

I can't wait for your ball to get here! I feel like pouncing the postman everyday!!
