1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Looking for someone with "Gracie" Portobello Pixie pattern on: April 23, 2010 05:41:20 PM
I had purchased the Portobello Pixie pattern and recently moved and cannot find all the paper pattern pieces . .I am looking for someone who can help with the dimensions with pieces # 9 and 6. These are just regular rectangle pieces . .I'm infuriated that she even made the pattern pieces instead of just adding the dimensions to the book. I'm at a loss as to where to turn, paying 15 to replace it is not an option.

TIA
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My attempt with the Portobello pixie "Gracie" Dress on: March 29, 2009 10:39:38 AM
I just got my portobello pixie patterns in the mail last Saturday and couldn't wait to give one of the dresses a shot, This one is the "gracie" dress It's basically a 2 tier dress with an bodice. The patterns do run small as most people say I made this dress one size bigger than my daughters true size.
I will say that I am a little disappointed in the patterns so much money but really when it comes down to it they are so simple it makes me upset that i chose to pay the price for the convenience of not having to think!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Another Criss Cross Halter set on: February 24, 2009 04:29:44 PM
OKay so that halter top I originally did in red and white got rave reviews so I made a similiar set in Yellow and white! this has become my fave spring/summer look! I have one more combo I am going to try and then I think I will have pleased myself!

I got these fabrics in the quilting section at Joanns they are the calico prints that were on sale last week!

4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Self drafted skort and matching shirts from artwork I drew on: February 24, 2009 07:05:54 AM
Love how the skirts turned out! I haven't tried the skorts yet I do have a pattern for some thanks for the inspiration!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: My Daughter finally modeled with no attitude! on: February 22, 2009 12:32:41 PM
the top was my self drafted criss cross halter and the back of the dress is basically inspired by the strappy sundress pattern on YCMT but instead of elastic I shirred it. I just cut out some polka dots to make another but long enough for a dress!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Butterfly Outfit on: February 21, 2009 08:00:43 AM
this is cute I love how the skirt falls, how did u decide to do the panels so that they don't gather at the waistband?

8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / My Daughter finally modeled with no attitude! on: February 20, 2009 01:08:59 PM
I beg my youngest daughter model all the time but she always has an attitude, Finally got her to coperate and man I am glad she did she's so darn cute!
Anyways thought I would share my latest springtime project! She couldn't wait to get it on!
I love the style of this lil top so much I just went to joann's and spent about $50 to make a few more sets!
The top is inspired by several differect YCMT patterns and the capris are carla C ruffled capri's but i only did one ruffle!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: YCMT pattern questions on: February 19, 2009 05:11:25 PM
It depends on which ones you are looking at, You can almost never go wrong with Carla C Patterns, but I just bought 2 today and I feel like I threw away 20.00!!!! Mostly I buy them because I don't have the patience to figure it out but some of them call for a  basic sleeve or bodice piece, which makes it easy, and some of them come with no patterns at all just instructions on how to cut rectangles! It's really Trial or Error but I would definately ask around before purchasing and see if someone else has bought one ur interested in and can tell u if it was a good one or not, I should wich I had before i bought the 2 I just did!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Party Dress! on: February 17, 2009 05:34:05 PM
the top is something I already had picked  up at walmart when they clearanced them. The bottom layer is tulle with bias binding something new I wanted to try, I wanted to make my own but was on a time crunch!
