OK! Photos!

Very simple bouquets for the maid of honor and myself:

And the brooch my gramps gave my gram when he wanted to start 'courting' her on mine:

Shrug for me (still have to make one for my maid of honor):

Recon'd shoes (painted, embellished and so wonderfully comfortable):

My fascinator (maid of honor has hers so I can't take a photo of it):

Still to complete:
-shrug and dress for maid of honor
-flower lights
-cupcake stands
-cake topper
-centrepieces
-candles for favours and tables
-embroidered hankies for immediate family members
-guestbook
-something to go behind the head table (no idea what yet)
-other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting

My dress is almost finished!

I took it home when I visited my parents to get some mom and auntie help with fitting and am so, so pleased with the results!

Definitely get well soon!

I finally finished the scarf for my future father-in-law, but I can't find the photos I took of it! This is the first draft that I made of it and it's going to a friend instead, the new one is done with a much thicker wool and I'm a lot happier with it- I'll post the photos once I take some more.

I am now working on a scarf/shawl for my future mother-in-law and some cross stitch work for pals.

I love your dress so far Kaiser!

Synne: it's an oyster coloured stiff satin. I haven't worked with a ton of satin so it makes me a little nervous, but that's part of why I wanted to get started really early.

Banga: they do look a lot alike!
I am using this top:

And this bottom:

Is that what you used??

I still have 9.5 months, but I finished the first muslin for my dress last night!

I need to make some slight revisions to the pattern and this is obviously not the best showing since it is just resting on a shopping cart, but here it is:

I love your bangs in the first photo and my vote would be to just cut the rest short! I don't know how you feel about short hair, but I think something like this:

would frame your face really nicely! You could also get it cut into harder angles and style it into vulcan hair when you felt like it.  Wink

7  Roland Barthes wallet in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by HeartOn on: June 21, 2008 11:31:09 AM
I made this wallet with a wrist strap and embroidery of Roland Barthes on it a couple of months ago, but I have since added a tassel to the zipper.

Close up of the embroidery:

Fabric I used on the inside and a shot of it full of stuff. I also made some card slots so that it was more compartmentalized than a regular change purse:

I really like huge earrings, so I made these out of home deco accessories:

I love that their little jaws open and close.
