1  COOKING / Dessert / Baking spree on: July 19, 2009 07:54:41 PM
I went on a baking spree yesterday and this is what I produced...

My first time not just slopping the icing on... the cupcakes are filled with chocolate ganache, too!

I had ganache left over so I decided to bake a cake in 2 pans. One for a friends bday, one for my lovely dog watchers. Made a small bit of caramel ganache to go over it as well.

Thanks for looking!

Sorry for the horrible quality of pictures, cell phone camera.
2  COOKING / Dessert / Delicious Cinn. Rolls! on: June 22, 2009 08:08:13 AM
For Father's Day I made the men in my life the cinnamon buns from this website: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/cinammon_rolls_/   and they turned out soooo good! I halved the recipe though and didn't use as much butter. Still, they were delicious and a big hit. Sorry for the bad pic quality, camera phone.

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Table to Bench! on: December 08, 2008 11:59:57 AM
This is my first reconstruction project... Sorry for the lame quality of pictures, I was working with a camera phone in bad light  Sad

I found this table thing at the dumpster in my apt complex

I loved it and saw a bench to hold my blankets at the end of my bed. I brought it home and cleaned/wood putty/sanded it down

Primed it

Painted it a few layers of black

Made my first cushion ever with this fabric

And put it all together!

It's not the best but I'm happy for my first try!
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Cushion? on: December 01, 2008 01:36:40 PM
I am in the process of re-doing a table into a bench. I have stripped and painted it and I am going to put a cushion on the top. I've never made a cushion before (and I should let you know I cannot sew) but I've been looking around the website and have a found a few good things. My questions - it's a wood bench, should I just wrap the foam I'm going to get in fabric and glue/staple that to the top of the bench? Or should I get a piece of plywood and attatch the cushion to that and then the plywood to the bench? Does that make sense?  Any and all advice greatly appreciated!

I have attatched pictures of the bench - I don't have a picture of it fully painted yet becuase it's getting the last coat of paint tonight!

Please excuse the mess on my balcony and the camera-phone quality pix!

Sorry for the horrible pic quality. Digital is broken so I have to rely on a not so great camera phone.

I have another one in the making with forks that say - wanna fork

I would love to do one with knives but I'm having a hard time thinking of a short phrase to go with it.... any suggestions much appreciated!!
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Earring Holder on: September 01, 2008 04:03:49 PM
Not sure if this is the right spot...

But while waiting on Hurricane Fay to do nothing to my FL city, I made an earring holder.

Enjoy!

8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Wire part from grill on: September 01, 2008 03:30:33 PM
It's square and only the wire part (that would've held the food).

What to do?
9  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Grill on: September 01, 2008 12:58:11 PM
I only have a wire part left of a grill... it's sqare and has been cleaned and I would love to do something with it.

Any idea's???
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Wall Letters on: July 18, 2008 08:50:41 PM
I got the idea from:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=213298.0

I'm at work and I made a stupid mistake on the 'O' and 'Y' and had to put paper over what was there - Don't mind the HORRIBLE bubbles!

It's for my niece who has a Roxy themed room. AMP are her initials.
