1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Poofy ribbon-y goodness! on: August 01, 2008 09:47:04 PM
So, I really love ribbon.  I also love big poofy skirts/dresses.  Tragically, I had neither of those things in my wardrobe.  But not anymore!  Behold, my favorite recon to date!  It is my pride and joy, as I thought and planned it for many months, and it looks just the way I wanted it to.

I forgot to take before pictures, but, it's made out of a band tee and many yards of tulle, and there's part of a sheet in there somewhere.  It's ridiculously fun to wear and held up very well at the show I wore it to tonight Cheesy

P.S. - Please excuse the pictures taken in my bathroom :/

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Too small band tee to summer dress [some large pics] on: July 11, 2008 05:39:22 PM
I loved the shirt, but it was too small and it looked funny.  After having it sit in my closet for a few months, I turned it into a dress, and it looks much better!

Close up of skirt part or whatever it's called.

The bottom is a a double layered pixie skirt of yellow fabric and yellow and white gingham, I think it's called?

The colors remind me of Snow White Cheesy

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / XL Fall Out Boy shirt + a bandana = on: July 02, 2008 01:49:09 PM
...a super cute summer top!  This is my first recon, aside from like, shortening skirts that were too long.  It's far from perfect, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Back (Uh, sort of.  It's hard to take pictures of your back!)

Close up on the bow on the back.  It looks a little tired, the washer/dryer did quite the number on it, and I really should have hemmed the bottom before I sewed it on.  Live and learn, huh?
