I made a brown bag to match a dress that i made to wear to a wedding in a few weeks. I used the tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=234709.0
and made the same changes as multicrafty did - except i used a magnetic clasp because i had one and i'm afraid of buttonholes. It's really only the second time i've ever made a bag like this, not including a few t-shirts reconned into tote bags a year or so ago. The lining matches the dress i made... which i'm posting in the clothing section.
I like this bag a lot because i think it's casual enough that i might actually bring it out on occasion (i'm not really a purse-y kind of person. sadly... i recognize their utility, i just don't really have them/carry them), but i could still wear it to something like a wedding. It's a little floppy, i should have maybe considered some batting or something to give it a little more body. But i kind of like it's floppiness....
Thanks for looking!
