1  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: The Mysterious Galliano Pirate Jacket - Help Me Decipher It or Sew-Along! on: February 11, 2010 08:10:15 PM
Sweet, I have about five different fat quarters with similar theme/ colors (music and violins!). I'm thinking I might be able to use that with pieces chosen at (somewhat) random from the different quarters.  Now I just have to get past this round of tests at University and I can try and start on this baby!

WOW, that is A-MAZE-ZING!  Cheesy I love the way you put the colors together!  Do you know about how much (yardage wise) you used for each color?  I'm thinking I might just want to try this now!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What size to make?? on: August 17, 2009 09:24:50 AM
Okay, So after buying a bunch of patterns (9 for 9 bucks!  Cheesy ) I finally decided to try and use them today.   Originally I thought I'd just make the size closest to what I normally get in the store (7) but decided to take my measurements just to be safe, and then came the problem.  According to the pattern my measurements would make me a size 14, so now I'm confused.  Do I make the fourteen and hope it's not to big, or should I make it closer to a seven and hope it's not to small???  I just don't know what to do!  Cry

Althought I'm not a complete noob, I'm still very much a beginer and need some help with this hat:

   http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=8

 More specificly the first line:

in ring: ch3 ( counts as first dc and ch1), *dc ch1* 7 times, slip to first ch space. (8 dcs 8 ch spaces)

I really want to make this hat as a gift for my sister so any help is much appricated!
